*It has been one week since the outbreak of the virus known as the AA-X became a fully fledged epidemic within all major portions of the United States. Since the past week the former hustle and bustle in the city of Chicago has been long gone, the sound of traffic and pedestrians traversing the streets has been replaced by the screaming of survivors succumbing to the infected and the occasional gunshot. The generators supplying power to the majority of the city still seem to be running without a hitch though how and for how long remains unknown.*

*The majority of survivors who have been hiding, or had stocked up on food prior to the outbreak now go about the city hoping to scavenge goods for themselves and perhaps locate other survivors. Though a lot of supplies within the city have already been hoarded, the remenants of the supplies not taken from stores remain among other things. *
