Freeze Grenades!!

You need a tech marine alive to complete each mission(five out of seven)(not all missions need one!!)

You should bring a medic with you each mission, to heal everyone

To get rid of parasites, you must be healed, or put inside of a healing beacon, or be carrying electric armor, which in that case you press the 1 button which is the default key to use the item, and it will knock the parasite off

Film grain can be disabled in console with the command
mat_grain, just set the values to zero and film grain goes away

Tesla rifle does not do friendly fire damage, it cannot miss, it does not waste ammo unless it hits a target, it can hit aliens through walls, it has the largest clip of any weapon, it does massive damage, it slows down enemies

Team mates cannot be revived...

Sentry guns can be used for cover, plant one and hide in the back of it, aliens in front of the gun will have no way of attacking you, although they can from the side, they get stuck on the front of the gun.

The game takes less than one hour and thiry minutes on insane, just minus the time everytime you lower the difficulty

Adrenaline slow motion item is useful, it slows down time, good for use during speed runs, and helps some players focus when their are a-lot of enemies on the screen at once. You can use it when tech is hacking.

During slow motion, if you have Vertical sync enabled, it becomes disabled and your framerate goes above 100, normally 170 (bug)

The chainsaw does not run out of ammo

Staying next to your team will get you through almost any level

using a sentry gun and an electric shock coil together will cause massive damage to the aliens, while providing great time and cover for your squad to heal.

OiScout: Do not spam WASD thinking you're dodging stuff, Watch your field of fire.

CoffeeCrazy: Tesla Coil during cornered situations works great to kill aliens/provide cover for your squad, although it only lasts for a short period.

Factioneer: Don't use the alternate fire to keep the isf minigun spinning, use the walk key instead. Does the exact same thing while if you use the alt fire key forget to let it go once you start firing for some reasons you'll only make little useless burst shots.

Woka: - Against Shieldbugs, you have to shoot the glowy back of the bug.
Take it in sandwich with another partner.

- Friendly Fire is ON !
Don't waste your ammo on teammates, you need it against the swarm.

- Call the medic if you're low life, use the button according to the place of the medic character. If it's the 3rd player, use the 3 key.

- Sentry guns consume ammo very fast, use them only when defending a tech hacking or during special events like the elevator, otherwise they just slow your team and gives you more aliens to fight.

- There is a "Quick Reload", when you reload with "R", a grey bar appears with a lighter grey square. When your cursor is in the light zone, hit R again to greatly reduce your reloading duration.

- Welding doors can be useful if you are sure you won't have to come back this way and bugs are coming from here.

- Best weapon against facehuggers: Flamethrower.


Pro tip #1:
If you play "Special Weapons" guy and you face tricky situation where swarms attack all directions, do this:

1.Switch to your Autogun
2.Rotate cursor over your character and make small circles.
3.FIRE!!!
4.epic pwnage umad???

Works well also with flamethrower!
