Welcome to the group "We need a better mutation menu (L4D2)"!

As you have probably noticed, the mutations modes in Left 4 Dead 2 are rarely played or rather you find rarely matches/lobbies you can join.

Nevertheless most mutations modes are quite interesting. I think that many wish that more people join the mutations modes instead of you have to play with the less clever bots.

In Steam L4D2 forum there is a discussion for that how it could be better designed: http://steamproxy.com/app/550/discussions/0/864979455659059156/ . In fact it could be created such as campaign or scavenge menu. Then you would not need to select each mutation and only after that search for online matches in this category, but you would have immediately listed all available mutations matches. That would be much clearer and would also save a lot of time. Besides more people would be probably willing to play mutations in L4D2. The filters (8/4 players or scavenge/coop...) could be kept if some people want to find again their favorite modes quickly.
Additionally there could be integrated an info bar so that you can learn more about the respective mutation.


This group was founded because the developers (Valve) of L4D2 did so far nothing to the mutation menu after the discussion in Steam L4D2 forum (http://steamproxy.com/app/550/discussions/0/864979455659059156/). Maybe they will pay attention to the "problem" if many people join this group.

So if you like the idea of the better mutation menu join this group and invite other L4D2 gamers to make this group with its idea popular :)
