We got a new build on opentesting that could use some players. anyone @here on linux/mac specifically?

Our character system was pretty heavy to render and caused lagspikes whenever characters spawned. Especially on lower systems this was more noticeable. We have now worked on improving this to improve general FPS and remove lagspikes from the game.

This has been quite an overhaul and can introduce bugs, therefore we really need your help in testing this. Currently we have this build live on the opentesting branch.

You can switch to the opentesting branch with the following steps:
1. Right click on Verdun in Steam library
2. Properties
3. Go to Betas tab
4. In the dropdown select 'Opentesting'
5. The game will now have to download the new version

With this version you can still play with other users but you might experience some bugs. If you do, please report this on the Verdun forum so we can roll this out quickly for everyone. Also we would like to know if you experience improvement from this overhaul

KNOWN ISSUES:
1. Zombie hands when spectating
2. Floating ragdolls

We are trying to get an update out but due to some big restructuring in the loading system it is giving us a lot more issues than expected. This is why we need your help with testing the new update.

The update is live on the opentesting branch and the latest version there currently is 3416. You can switch to this update by going to properties of Verdun in Steam library -> Betas and select 'opentesting'. You can find what this update contains here:

We are looking for new issues caused by this build which did not happen on the default/regular branch.

Known issues in the opentesting atm are:
- No blood on uniforms.

Also please inform us if you do not have any issues so we can determine the overall stability. The opentesting should be playable just fine for most people.

We have a new update on the opentesting branch but since this update contains some big overhaul in assets we would need some testing before we put it live. If you would like to help us out, please switch to the opentesting branch and see if you find any issues. This update is on its own network version so playing with maingame is not possible. If everything goes well this update should be available tommorow for everyone.

With the update released we would like to thank everyone who participated in the recent testing sessions. It seems that the game is pretty stable and that we managed to get the most pressing matters out of the way.
