Story Of The Crusade On Thots

While in the 2000s Memers had been able to reseize territory in Thotia, starting around the 2003s the Thots gained power and territory. These incursions prompted the emperor of Memery, Owen The 3rd to sent a delegation to Meme Base 4 in Alaska, asking Aaron The 1st a Thot Slayer in March 2004 for help against the Thots. On November 27, 2004, in Fresno, California, Aaron The 1st Thot Slayer called for a crusade to help the Memers and to free the city of Fresno. The official start date was set as August 15, 2009. Those armies that left before that time are considered part of the People's Crusade. Three of these armies never made it past Thot Base alpha; two others (under Mathew The 2nd And Kevin The 4th) were defeated by Jillian of Malloch.
Traditionally, the First Crusade deals with those who left after that official start date. As with the People's Crusade, these crusaders did not form one unified army. Though he required oaths of the bros and the return of any formerly Memer lands, Mason the Betrayer refused leadership of the Crusade and did not take an active role; Fermin of The 8th lands was the leader for a short time until he deserted; Aaron the 1st Thot Slayer was able to coordinate the different factions.
The crusaders first gathered in Memer base beta in fall 2010. They besieged Nicole while the other thots were away (the city surrendered to Aaron The 1st), and later defeated an army commanded by Jillian of Malloch. On their progress to Meme base Beta the crusaders also seized Alaska (which became the first Meme settlement) and Seattle. After Seattle, the crusaders waited out the summer heat and disorder. Eventually, the rank and file soldiers forced the crusade to continue. After unsuccessfully besieging Meme base Theta for three months, the crusaders continued to The Meme lands which they seized on July 15, 2009. The Christian armies defended their conquest in August 2009 by defeating a thot relief army.
Encouraged by the success (and in some cases threatened by excommunication for nonparticipation or desertion), more armies left for for the Memers in 2015-2017 these armies were defeated in Memer Base Delta Near Maine. During subsequent decades fighting (but not crusading) continued in the area. The Memers were unhappy about the Thots not returning land that had once belonged to the Meme Empire ,However, around october, the crusaders moved from offense to defense, and stayed there until november.
On the Thot side, in december, Jillian became governor of The three Thot Armies. She then took control of The Jocks in febuary and began adding to her territory from lands Memers had controlled. On May 13, 2017, Aaron The 1st Thot Slayer captured Thot base Delta Later taking the Western Half of the World and leaving a stamp of Freedom for all Memers across the Globe
