Welcome aboard the Norham Line

The Norham Line is a fictional heritage line recreating UK life in the 1950s and 60s. The line begins at Oakbridge, which once used to be where the line connected to the mainline. Nowadays, Oakbridge is a small town renowned for its confectionery industry. Terminating at the picturesque coastal town of Norham, the line once carried thousands of tourists down to their beach holidays and also had a thriving freight market carrying freshly caught seafood into the larger towns.

Nowadays, the route is a tourist attraction in itself, home to many steam locomotives from around the UK, and also a selection of heritage diesels. The steep gradients up from Norham provide a challenge for smaller locomotives and make for great photography opportunities to enthusiasts. The railway often holds galas which turn over a lot of revenue to keep the line alive.

A quick update - nothing to report...

Hello all,

Just a short update for today as nothing's gone on here for quite some time.

Be it due to a lack of time, concentration on other things or something else, our building team haven't made much progress on the route. Last time I checked, we had around 2/3 of a mile of track, with some scenery and a decent layout, however I'm not aware of any progress since then. Perhaps one of the guys will correct me on this though.

I assure you all that the route will continue through its development, however slowly it may go, and we'll hopefully get it to a release at some point. I personally have almost zero input into the actual building of the route, so I can't vouch for that side of the project but I can try to tell you that I'll crack the whip and try to get things going on!

Thanks for your patience all - I know we've had a few commenters on the group homepage asking if any progress has been made, so I hope this acts as some form of detail in that respect :)

Cheers as always - and we have 35 members now! (Not bad for an almost silent project :P)
