Talisman League of Champions

Hey,

The idea here is that we will assign a player to every character in the game. Then each character will play every other one to put to bed some of the issues of which character is pants, which is too good and who really is the best Talisman player*

Hopefully this will be a fun competition that will run alongside the Cups that are played every so often and give us all a little extra gametime to enjoy.

The first 50 players to register will be put into the draw to have a character assigned to them, we do allow you to pick your character, others can choose a random character to see how well you know your Ghoul from your Ninja

Hi All,

I have tried to make an interesting and different tournament for people to enjoy, it has taken a lot of my time personally to set up, to monitor and to update.

I want to thank everybody, from Sprite to Vampiress (top to bottom as of today) for taking part and trying to make this "experiment" a success. I understand there have been issues, the first type of any competition will always have issues and things to iron out, I hope everybody can understand that!

However, the League has been running for 9 weeks now and some players have not even played that amount of matches, yet they have made no comment to pull out or explain (Yes, some have, I know I am speaking in General terms)

So, in order to prevent this competition from still being "live" by 2017, I will be eliminating all characters that have not played 10 matches by this Sunday the 06th December 2015. As I write, there are 12 characters below the 10 match limit, these will all be deleted on Monday when I do my next update and each match will be a walk over for every character, REGARDLESS IF THEY HAVE PLAYED THEM OR NOT

I am sorry for having to take this action but I feel that if I put so much time and effort into this competition, the least players could do is at least participate by playing at least 1 match a week, we have seen many matches end within 10 minutes.....

I hope you all understand, from now on there will be no replacements, if a person decides that they can no longer play in the league, their character will be retired and we move on

Hi all,

As some of you will have seen, all members of the group now have access to editing posts as all are Group Moderators.

This is so you can all manage your own "personal results page" to keep track of your matches and let other people see how you are doing, if people are so inclined.

It is "NOT" to be used to update the league table, sorry to have to mention this but if people start editing the League Table how and when they like, we will lose all control over the table. Please do not try and edit the league table, if another player does so, I will have to lock it or remove all Group Moderators in order to be able to control the table

First of all i have to apologize with the people who have sent me messages in those days and i never answer. I've made a mistake with Steam and i was not receiving message if i was in game so, really, i'm sorry.
Then, and also i apologize for that, i've to quit for the league. Sadly i've change job and lifestyle so my "in game time" as become quite difficult to manage. Again i'm sorry

What I am thinking about katy12250 is to allow people to make their own matches whenever they like. If we leave it as a weekly game format, it will take a year to complete, 2 games a week is still 25 weeks, allowing players to form their games when they like will speed up the process, confirmation of this will appear next week if we go ahead with it, for now, there is a thread with the 1st 2 rounds of games up in the Discussion Boards

How are we going to set up the match plays? Is there going to be thread or something so that we can coordinate times & days to play? I'm friends with some in the group but not everyone so I can't PM to ask about time and date.
