Talking about Games, the Universe, and Everything

This little group is an experiment to find a place to talk about games, pop culture and everything that makes this bleak and dystopian world fun.

A kind of "private forum" where we keep can keep the riffraff out and celebrate gaming, not showing off how snide and sarcastic we can be.

Discussing (and dissecting) games can often be just as much fun as playing them, and this is a place to do it. Feel free to post, comment and share your thoughts and opinions.

(We are currently using the Groupchat as an makeshift IRC, it works surprisingly well)

After a few hundred years in existence, The Water Cooler is still alive! Shambling with bits of flesh falling off, alive nonetheless. So, as a public announcement, I'm reminding you people that we exist and that we always welcome talk about videogames. So, if you feel like discussing something - give us a shot. We're extremely unlikely to bite.

After over four months in beta, it’s safe to say this little group has been an unforeseen success (not that our expectations were very high to begin with). We’re happy to have quite a few regulars and commenters already, but would like to hear from even more of you – if you haven’t already, come swing by the private group forum to discuss games, life, art and anything in between in a relaxed atmosphere where we’ll never judge you (but can always edit your posts to make you look silly).

For even happier leisure times, come visit the group chat, occasionally bursting with activity whenever anyone feels like it or when we’re trying to get some multiplayer action going. Just remember that wearing pants is strictly optional and you’ll fit right in.

No matter if you want to change the world one mind at a time, vent your frustrations or just hang out with a bunch of picky(and incredibly handsome) videogame enthusiasts, the group is here to help.

I heard good things about it but apparently it lacked a quick button for most common summons as you use them all the time, perhaps you get used to it.

It's not controversial anymore it's not like the lyrics is news, just a catchy blender. Song writer is also a doctor, was on frontline to help during Covid.

Anyway I'm compulsively playing Echoes of Wisdom that my wife got me for Christmas. It's very hard for me to tear away from it and I'd say it rates as one of the better topdown Zelda games, albeit Link's Awakening still wins out there.

It's like babby's first immersive sim, but it has a lot of playfulness and optional challenges, in other words - typical Nintendo toy design. It's nowhere near as good as Tears of the Kingdom, which I'm currently replaying with my older daughter, but I do like it. Quite a lot.

I had a few conference calls with people in that Palestinian Bank Tower over there. They did seem to be people at the time. I have it on good authority that when people live somewhere, kids tend live there too. Mad!

Australian pop singer lost contract because she refused to scratch lyric line about Israel killing Gaza children, too bad because she hits right but that part was a little too personal. Leaving this way will get her enough fans she can start her own record so not really a big deal at all. I found the lyrics catchy tho haha

11 out of 24 finale puzzles done, some of them these are just wow. I will return to them one day when I have more time and less life stuff going on. Overall the DLC was just as good as Gehenna, some humor and delight in the narrative too. I suppose Croteam will be busy with Talos 1 remaster but it will be interesting to see if they are going to do something new with a 3rd one. Coop or strategy version might work.
