Sierra Squadron is a band of Spartan and ODST units that are continually sent out to combat and eliminate any and all continuous Insurectionist forces, both foreign and domestic. Capable of fighting even in the toughest of conditions, heat or cold, these elite troops specialize in one thing.

Originally formed in memoriam for a Spartan II, Sierra "Sierra" 225, who went MIA protecting evacuating citizens during the fall of Reach.

Sierra 225 was never found during Reach cleanup crews after the glassing. This either means that she was destroyed in the beams, or her remains were taken by either civilian, insurrectionist scrappers, or the covenant. No sign of her has been found since, however, a lookalike was spotted recently on New Harmony, but lacks the neural interface and ID tatoo that should be present. Investigations are still underway.
