ABOUT The Revenant Group

The Revenant Group

About

The Revenant Group or REVGRU is a small tactical response team employed to deal with asymmetrical threats to global interests in locations where host nation authorities are incapable of responding to the situation effectively. In such instances, a REVGRU team might be tasked with mitigating or neutralizing those threat vectors. In order to accomplish these objectives, a REVGRU team will employ a variety of kinetic asymmetrical warfare tactics to achieve the desired result.

REVGRU Tactical Response Team

A REVGRU team is comprised of five to six operators, pulled from various military backgrounds. Each team includes a Team Lead, Breacher, Automatic Rifleman, Grenadier, Assaulter, and Combat Medic. Depending on the situation, one (1) to two (2) REVGRU teams can be tasked to a situation.

The Tactics, Training, and Procedures

We do not conduct mandatory indoc training for new members. Arma 3 is already a military simulation, there isn't any need to simulate the simulation. All tactical knowledge needed to perform as part of a REVGRU team will be acquired via on the job training. During our regularly scheduled operations, veteran operators will ensure they impart their skill sets and knowledge on new members. New members who fail to show growth or progress within the unit will be separated. This is how The Revenant Group maintains its high standard of tactical expertise.

Operations

Our operations focus on player vs. AI cooperative small unit tactics in a non-conventional warfare environment typically encountered by SOF units. Each mission is custom built by members of The Revenant Group in order to provide a new and complex threat scenario for our members. We conduct missions both weekdays and weekends. Missions begin at 2000z and last for between one and three hours. In order to participate in the operation, members must have a functioning microphone and have all mods downloaded and configured prior to mission start. During non-operation hours, our server will host a training mission file to allow members to configure and practice with vehicles, equipment and weapon systems.

Applying

Before being accepted to a REVGRU TRT, initial applicants will be added to the Steam Group in order to give them access to the event schedule, discussion boards, announcements, etc. Applicants will be able to attend operations but will not officially be accepted to a REVGRU TRT until they have demonstrated proficiency in all task performance areas and completed twelve (12) operations. Once the application has been approved, new REVGRU members can wear the patch.
