Welcome to our relatively new (04-06-2016) Life is Feudal server. If I remember correctly the server was started around the middle of May and will continue to be up as long as there are players enjoying the game with us.

Becoming King! Do YOU want to be King?

After much thought and asking the server last night (19-06-16) we decided to implement our King/Queen system.

We were of the opinion and it seems so are the majority of the server that one should fight to become King. Being King will have a couple perks which we can always add to later if players agree. Claiming Kingship in global chat will be met with the derision it deserves :)

It will work like this:
Each guild will select a "Champoion", this player will then fight other guild champions until we have two finalists. These "duels" will take place at times that are convenient for you but they must be completed by Sunday evening so that the entire server can witness the final duel that will determine the King.

The final duel will take place after JH which means that the two players involved may not want to participate in JH itself to save their health. We think this is the best way so that more people are available to play and to keep events etc to a similar time slot. We will hold this event every two weeks, starting this upcoming weekend.

King's will then be able to claim tribute from the players (each player that attends the duel must bring SOMETHING for the King) Our thinking is that if you bring valuable goods you will be rewarded with peace or honour, but if you fail to bring anything or bring something that insults the King you may be.. punished.
This will only be valid once there is a King so the first competition will be tribute free. We can discuss further ideas regarding the King throughout.

It doesn't matter what your character level, base progress etc is you can be the King. You must however, beat people in combat so obviously you have to be well prepared and levelled up.

If you decide that you do NOT want to recognise the King as your sovereign then you will be classed as rebels and treated as such by the current King. After all, we all need "a bad guy" or in the case of an evil King, saviours.

As ideas come in and we refine the purpose and selection of a King/Queen I will update this post.
This is meant to be for fun so treat it as such, RP is key for the King/Queen role and thus heavily relies on us all to make it fun and worthwhile :)

Good morning all,

We have started the process of adding mods to the server.

This means that YOU will need to download a small file to make this happen. The link can be found at the bottom of this post.

Installation - (Close Steam FIRST)
1. Download basilmodloader.zip archive from the link below.

2. Place basilmodloader.zip into the game folder, i.e. to "Life is Feudal Your Own\basilmodloader.zip"

(For example mine is "D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Life is Feudal Your Own\basilmodloader.zip")

3. You must NOT unpack the archive file!

4. Play LiF:YO.

5. Once you have loaded the game, it should show the version number at the bottom right of the main menu. You can click on the "Join NG Server" in the middle top left to join our server directly.

6. All DONE! :)

NB: You may need to restart your game a couple times to join the server, but it DOES work :)

Mods and adjustments we have made:
1. Added gravity, no more floating logs etc. (Done)
2. Slightly faster terraforming. (Done)
3. Almost instant uprooting. Please uproot all your stumps. (Done)
4. GM Announcement System. (Done)
5. Server messages, found under the "local" tab. General notifications. (Done)

Please read this thoroughly as it contains all the info you need. Further info will be added as it becomes available. Putty does not know anything, just like John Snow ;)

Howsit guys, just a query to find out why the server is so quiet?

Please let me know if you are all still keen on playing as it doesn't make sense to keep it open forone person. I have made it clear that if the population dropped below 10 for the majority of the time it would make sense to close the server.

Please, please, please comment here to let me know otherwise you may just find the server gone one day :(
