Kyle 'Modest' Willadsen

Modest Lan
It is tragic what happened to our beloved friend Kyle “Modest” Willdasen. I think for most of us it is still a great shock and a punch in the gut. However, I believe there is something a lot of us are realizing and that is that we all need to set aside a few days a year to get together and lan. Sure life is busy and there is always something to do but as we have seen in Kyle’s case life is too short. Most of us now have to live with regrets of not hanging out or seeing Kyle as much as we should have. Therefore, I propose that a yearly “Modest Lan” occur where we can all get together, play games, drink, and have a good time. Here are the following considerations I think we are going to need to consider.
Date
If we are going to attempt this, this year I believe October may be an ideal month. This gives everyone enough notice and at the same time avoids the holiday months. The following weekends in October are:
1) 5, 6, 7
2) 12, 13, 14
3) 19, 20, 21
4) 26, 27, 28
Please weigh in which weekend would work best for you.
People
We need to determine quickly how many people are interested in attending. Knowing this information will help us in selecting the correct venue. Please answer ASAP if you are interested in attending.
Venue
Ideally I would like to do this event at a large house because renting a convention center (or some type of room) is costly. Not to mention then having to rent hotel rooms. I’d rather that money be donated to Kyle’s Memorial Fund. The benefit behind a large house venue are tents can be pitched in the back yard and people can BBQ and drink. If you ask me drinking is going to be at least half the event. :P
