ABOUT Lucira: Moments from the Heart

A Kemono (Furry) JRPG, Socialize Persona 4 Style Game being made in RPG MAKER VX ACE

WHAT IS THIS THING ?

Lucira is a JRPG style game with some dating sim elements, akin to the Persona series (specifically 3 and 4). Its being built in Rpg Maker VX Ace.It is a kemono game meaning that all the characters are furry (for the most part). The game revolves around the main character, Tora Yuzukawa, who has been pretty much a shut in after the death of her mother, whom she grew up with hearing stories from her about a
magical land where animals ruled: Lucira.

One day, Tora receives an acceptance letter from an unknown university known as Monogatari University, with some unclear instructions. Despite the strangeness of this letter (and having not ever applied), she decide to pay the campus a visit, when she mysteriously has a lapse in memory and wakes up in an unknown forest as a calico cat…and then, everything begins to become stranger and stranger…

FEATURES

•Free turn battle system: Choose your tactics in any order, but be mindful! Stronger attacks may come at the cost of your teams actions. Spend your actions carefully.

•Active skills: Some skills have special input requirements or mechanics to them. Each character has a unique mechanic to them that alters how they are played.

•Increased Difficulty: This game features a difficulty level higher than the standards of most RPGs. Prepare to challenge yourself to difficult enemies who could potentially wipe a player who is mindlessly mashing buttons. Utilize techniques and spells available to maximize your survival and KEEP THE MAIN CHARACTER ALIVE.

•8 Party members: An endearing cast of different but deep characters with their own special ability.

•Fully Voiced: All story cutscenes and some side scenes in this game are VOICED.

•Multiple endings, Meaningful choices: Every choice in game counts to something. You may find that what you choose to say will come back to you someday. Also, your decisions and actions (or lack thereof) may change the outcome of the final stretch of the game.

•Dating Sim Elements: Give gifts, talk with your party members or key NPCs, form relationships and bond! Getting close to your party and friends may grant you, the main character, benefits such as passive abilities or special unique techniques. This includes drawn portraits for every major npc and main character!

•Free-form skill progression: You choose which skills you want to get in which order, with a wide array of passive abilities and such to choose from for each character.

•Dynamic Weapons: Upgrade your weapons with various components and make them how you wish, or min-max to your hearts content. Don't be shy! Weapons you make or obtain will stick with you for a long time and actually have a meaningful presence

•Crafting Galore!: Craft items to sell, potions, weapons, armor, and more! Don't just settle for the mundane store stuff, have fun with it and make a profit!

Rinette Belle Forte

VA: "Mikki"

A 17 year old rabbit who appears a little younger than she actually is. She’s a bit of a jokester, always trying to lighten up the mood with random comments and her bright personality. She’s often trying to argue to some people, however, that she’s a mature person and doesn’t want to be treated any less than such, despite what people may believe. She strives to become a knight.

Rinette serves as the primary tank for the game, sporting incredible amounts of HP despite her petite appearance. She can support the party and greatly increase the group's survivability through taking damage for others and drawing aggro to herself. She also has very good proficiency with shields, allowing her to block incoming damage. Her special ability, "Enthrall", draws aggro to herself and increases her ATK based on her missing HP for its duration.

Alia Tessalia Darth

VA: Adoxagraphist "Adox"

A 21 Year old dog who’s very soft spoken and doesn't really have much to say. She finds it hard to talk to most people and often comes off as being straight-and-to-the-point. Her lack of voice is backed by her varied expertise and collected attitude.

She serves as the primary swordsman in the game. Her style allows her to land multiple hits on an enemy per round, and she has the highest amount of initiative (actions per round) in-game. She also serves as the primary debuffer, with many attacks that lower enemy statistics to the party's advantage. In addition, she has an ability known as "Overpower", which allows her normal attacks to deal increasingly more damage as they land in succession during the duration.

Idris Chikara

VA: Papertowelz

A 19 year old wolf, never seen without a smile on his face. Whereas this can come off as nice and innocent, he is quick to state what most others wouldn't, including a flurry of insults, and often something about death, all while smiling and keeping the nicest tones. It's hard to pin down why he's always so happy, and is all but too often thought to be insane.

He serves the party as a saboteur, by inflicting status ailments on the enemies and also having the ability to steal (So called "Theft" as he likes it). Additionally, he has the ability "Exploit", which allows him to deal extra damage to enemies that are ailed.

Hannon Breiger Ritz

VA: Novaknight

An 18 year old Coyote with a silver tongue and rogue-ish nature. He’s often carefree and smooth talking, trying to be a ladies man and often finding himself to be the center of attention. He’s also a bit of a prankster and loves joking around, sharing some fun times with Rinette. Despite his overall carefree attitude, he has some serious suppression on his past and is sometimes a lot more down than he appears.

Hannon is a primary damage dealer. His special abilities are "Deadshot" and "True Strike". Deadshot allows Hannon to aim at an enemy and try to shoot a vital spot for an automatic critical (with a well timed press). Truestrike is a passive ability which makes all of Hannon's attacks automatically connect regardless and ignore defense. However, as a trade-off, Hannon has to reload every few shots. His guns also change his targeting style.

That's it for the main party members of the game. While there is a 9th one who joins for a short while, I don't plan on leaving around spoilers ~ We'll just have to wait for you to see!

Tora Yuzukawa

VA: Kendra Braun (Brightwall)

18 year old, Calico, Middle-tone voice, a bit of a dreamer while still aware of the reality that she sits upon. She’s generally a composed person except in the event that weird things happen to her, though she does have some socially awkward moments considering she’s shut the world out for a long time. Her personality is mostly determined by the choices of the player.

She is the main protagonist of the game and the player will almost always have her as the leader of the party. The game ends if she is defeated. Her role in the party is flexible and can change from a nuker, to all-rounder, to tank depending on how you choose to build her skills and equipment, in addition to the abilities you may choose from your relations. She is primarily a spellcaster but can use swords as well.
Additionally, she can use "Recollection" to uncover statistics or weakness an enemy may have.

Juna Luon

VA: "Cynny"

A 19 year old fox, she’s a bit of a ruffian and a bit crude, despite her graceful and well trained fighting style. She’s often a lot shyer than her outward, loudmouthed and hotheaded attitude would suggest and is easily flustered and teased. Sometimes, she doesn’t know when to shut up when it’d make the situation worse not to.

She serves as a primary damage dealer with low defense and low magic power, but excellent survivability through evasion. She is, in many ways a glass cannon and serves as a "monk" in the game. She doesn't fight with weapons but utilizes a variety of special techniques through her "Combo" ability.

Misame Mougari

A 20 year old Cow-Lion girl (yes, a strange combination) who hails from a rich family. She is a collected but curious girl who has a knack for inquiry, often asking about things and being easily interested in some matters, more-so than other. This is reflected in her pursuit of alchemy, always on a vigilant stand for discovery. Her curious nature often leads her to seem more caring than she actually is.

She serves as a buffer for the party and also carries a wide array of formulae through "Mixture" that may either support or deal all kinds of effects to her enemies.

Yun Asahino

VA: Pakki Sukibe (Me)

A 20 Year old Otter studying for medical arts and healing. He’s a bit arrogant and haughty with a bit of an attitude, and quick to criticize people. His patience is low with people who do not share his level of comprehension. Despite his attitude, he tends to be a lot more caring than what is shown on the surface and has a deep dedication and appreciation for hard work.

He serves as the primary healer in the game, with a wide variety of healing spells that can heal the party en masse and provide very short, 1-turn boons. He can also serve as an off-tank and sports a good amount of magical damage through light and dark Arcane-Level spells. He swings the battle in and out of the team's favor using "Evocation", a special ability that randomly invokes a skill out of a list of several that may either prove devastating for the enemy or the party. Evocation can also aid the party with random healing.
