I often think about the days of Lodainn and how much they influenced me for several years of my life. Lodainn wouldn't be the last server I would become a community member of, but for a couple pretty rough years of my personal life you guys served as a much needed escape and almost a second family, and it helped me grow into the person who I am today.
Tarn, I think I speak for just about everyone when I say you were and will always be an awesome member of our community, and you were DEFINITELY a massive part of that second family I mentioned. Nothing will ever change that.
Bilko, count me in for anything! Same goes to anyone else - for the last four years I've had unreliable access to internet, but now I finally am back in the "civilized" world of high speed internet and am hungry for some Minecraft multiplayer!
Plus, in terms of actual buildings - I'm pretty sure we could all put together much better looking designs now than we did back then.
Anyway, I don't know if any of you remember that "Minecraft Cities/Conquest" idea I was toying with after deleting the server for a 3rd time. Let's just say, development resumed :)
Hope you're all doing well in life, this server was a major chapter in my life - and it actually led to me getting my current career in software development. I appreciate the time you all put into making it a fun place.
Great to hear from you, no worries at all - I think one of the most important things about a fully online community like that, was being able to be whoever you wanted to.
It sounds like you've found your identity since then, so congrats - that's great!
Was just searching around last night to see if I could pull any remnants of this server together - just got back into Minecraft and you know...it's a temptation.
Unfortunately, I can't find a single backup that I've kept, and the company that we ran the servers with is well out of business by now.
Lodainn is unfortunately - resigned to our memories. But probably for the best; we were all 10 years younger, and I don't actually agree with how we ran the server back then at all.
Tarnias here. I've got to be honest with y'all - I'm not the girl you might have thought I was, just a very confused queer kid who didn't understand how to express himself honestly online. I'd appreciate it if you kept that to yourselves, but I understand if you feel the need to speak openly about it.
I'm running a public MC server again, and it would be wild to see you guys in-game again. If you ever feel like joining, you are more than welcome.
