The 7e Voltigeurs de la Garde

Welcome to the 7e Voltigeurs de la Garde!

We are the 7e Compagnie d'Infanterie (7th Infantry Company), known formally as the 7e Voltigeurs de la Garde, of the Imperial Frontier Force, one of three infantry companies within the IFF. We boast the highest kills per round from shooting alone, between all 3 companies!

The 7e is a semi-casual group, involving members from multiple regions. We also host a range of skirmishers, cannoneers, and grenadiers. We currently host the community's highest skilled shooters.

We attend 4 OCE (AUS/NZ) line battles, 1 seasonal internal IFF line battle (War Games), 1 Chinese line battle, and Asian line battle.

Company Name Change!

In line with Command's announcement, the Officer/NCO Corps alongside our Corporal, will rename the company into the 7e Voltigeurs de la Garde!

Historically speaking, the Voltigeurs de la Garde consisted of French and Westphalian regiments/companies and were considered to be the best marksmen and skirmishers of Napoleon's Grande Armee! They were also known for epic last stands and hold outs, and were used heavily in screening and being a firing spearhead for the Grenadiers!

During the Battle of Borodino, many French and Westphalian Voltigeurs covered the retreat of Napoleon. Fondly enough, artillery barrages and a cavalry charges were extremely effective in decimating the Voltigeurs

During the Battle of Waterloo, the Voltigeurs de la Garde, while outnumbered, heavily defended the town of Plancenoit against a superior Prussian flank. They held until the Allied Army Center fell, which caused Napoleon's ultimate defeat
