I do understand and know the pain you go through hosting a Keen product.
The spawn point is set between earth/mars and the point is to build a jump drive to get to a planet. The spawn is to both deter crashing ships into planets, and provide a unique 'space engineer' experience, where you have options of going to one planet or the other. In the future, A new spawn ship will be setup for the earth planet with minimal resources.
