About the Fluffy Unicorns.

Here is El Contador's new post on the forums today.

Everyone, we're getting sick of seeing lazy interactions where people poorly demonstrate or don't demonstrate intent. This most commonly plays out as "Who's there?"--*shoot* or "Stop"--*shoot* or "Hands"--*shoot*"up!" These are not acceptable interactions for simply killing people, especially because most often the shots IMMEDIATELY follow the command, or worse, before the shooter even finishes talking. These are basic commands that imply a variety of outcomes and initiating in this manner when you just want to kill is lazy and unnecessary.

Interaction is required before engaging in open world PvP. Once ONE party has verbally engaged on AREA MIC, the interaction requirement has been met. Interaction should demonstrate intent.


If you really just want to light someone up that is 100% fine--I am a strong proponent of vigorous PvP. But please, just keep it simple and make a clear statement you're sending them to god, and THEN shoot. Phrases like "Die heathen!" or "Death to trespassers!" leave no room for confusion and are all it takes to meet our interaction requirements and are just as short as what you guys typically say now. If you are using language that implies you might just be looking to ID or rob your target (stop, freeze, hands up, etc.) you are still within your right to shoot if they do not comply, but please actually give the victim time to comply.

Consider yourselves officially warned. Please be sure to educate your clanmates and police yourselves as well. Remember, this does NOT apply to the red open PvP zones. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about any of this please reply below.


On a side note, I also would encourage everyone to rob solo targets instead of killing them outright--especially when you have numbers--or at least ID the victim first to see if it's someone you detest and should dispatch. There are several solo players here and it gives the server a much more varied dynamic if everyone doesn't immediately shoot everything that moves.

I have had multiple instances with many of you guys that think it really is ok to just mic up and kill people. If it's somebody from unexpected please just say something like "Death to Unexpected!" and that is considered valid interaction. It still isn't okay for you to just say "Hands up!" you must demonstrate intent something like "Hands up or die!" is what is needed but this post shows that even then you have to give the person time to comply. If all you want is to kill someone just say something like "Death to trespassers!" or as simple as "You must die!". Some of you guys don't even know what the forums are and haven't even read the rules. This is not okay. If anymore faulty interaction occurs with you guys not following the rules you will be punished. FU is the longest running clan on the server so we have a lot of respect from people but this is ruining our reputation.
