ABOUT Dinobonoids Ark Server Group

Official Steam Group for the Unofficial Ark Server

Description
Dinobonoids is a server intended for relaxed players who don't have the time/want to play all day, every day. Structure decay rates have been reduced, and rates have been adjusted to make the game feel like a little less of a grind/chore, whilst maintaining a sense of difficulty and accomplishment (EXPx2, Tamex3, Harvestx2). We also feature a handful of quality-of-life mods for a lite modded experience. The mod collection can be found on Steam here: http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=808137968
We've also created a community Steam page for communication outside of game, and as an easy way to relay a message to the admins when they're not online:

Rules
Pillars. I understand their purpose, but please, be reasonable. Don't pillar half the damn countryside because you can't handle having someone else living within render distance. You can still claim your area, but within reason. Be neighborly, and leave room for others. Besides, pillars all over the place looks ugly.
Mega Structures. I get it. Some of you have some sort of undying passion for spending thousands of hours resource grinding so you can build your two square mile buildings that realistically have a small fraction of that space actually being utilized. Do it somewhere else. It's too stressful on the server and the clients. You can have your large base. But the key phrase here is "within reason."
Building near resources is fine. Building on top of resources and blocking their spawn, or encircling them to prevent other players from reaching them is not fine.
Don't ask the admins to spawn you items. Really need that industrial cooker for your kibble farm? Gather the mats, and I'm sure a higher level will craft it for you. Just ask nicely. The admins will not grant items, dinos, or experience to themselves or others. We're here to enjoy the game, just like you.
Above all else, be nice. We want the server to feel like a community, not a showroom. Don't shame people for asking questions, or asking for help. If you don't want to help, just don't respond.

We're all here to play the game. Don't make that harder for anyone else.
