So a lot of people on my friend's list seem to have bought this very last Metal Gear (for real this time). I'm not sure yet what specific purpose a Steam Group will serve but if we're all going to be playing it as it comes out I figured why not? Maybe we can at least organize some Red Eye Orb invasions against each other.

Okay, I think this might actually work with the Steam Group format. I've made a number of threads in the "Discussion"-section of the Group, one for each Act of the game (no clue how many there are in total though). The idea is that after each mission you post a short report on how the Op went and all that. I divided the threads into acts to hopefully prevent too severe accidental spoilers. Use those spoiler tags well if needed!

Check the OP in the Act 1 thread for all details.

Also, updated the exact release date if Viper's countdown clock is to be beleived.

Whelp, guess the game doesn't launch on the very specific AMD processor I have that worked just fine with Ground Zeroes. True power of PC gaming. At least the devs posted 5 hours ago that they will have a fix done in 5 hours.
