Buffystrike

Buffystrike exists for two private servers, a Left 4 Dead Group Server and a Counter-Strike Source Server. The L4D server is coop-only, and available to all group members.

Both servers restart daily at 4PM EST, and at that time load any updates available from the steam server.



Counter-Strike:Source Server

Server details; 8vs8 with bots, friendly-fire on, all weapons allows, first map upon restart is cs_assault. Once one team wins 6 rounds, the next map in a randomized list of 100 maps is loaded.

To find in Server search, select the Favorites tab, then "Add a Server, enter "buffystrike.stdio.com" and select "Find games at this address". Highlight the Counter-Strike Server and "add selected game server to favorites".

Left4Dead Group Server

Server details; Coop only, pausable, accessable only to group members. Upon restart, server loads the custom campaign "I Hate Mountains".

It is necessary to download and install this campaign prior to joining. Browse to http://www.ihatemountains.com, download the zip file and extract its contents. Locate your Steam install in Program Files, copy the VPK file to \Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\addons.

Join the server directly once the game is loaded, no password required. Lobby will not join the server. Also, custom campaigns are not available in the Vote menu, so once you change campaign you cannot go back. A fix is in progress.
