Really Just a D&D Club...

Okay. So a good TWO sessions today! First, thanks all who participated in the Arms & Armor alpha test session #1, ya'll are definitely helping make this system even better. I hope you enjoyed the plot that I pulled out of my- imeanplannedextensively. Second, Squirrel's game has been restarted, poked, and prodded, and is now back to a slim, manageable party. So highlights: honestly, if I could give two players of the week awards for one session, I would. First to Isola and the robot Flint, who managed to slay a monster that according to my after-encounter research was a CR 6 (with some help from the party, but really, i was all Flint.) Second to Taft and his goliath, who after being one-shot by the CR 6 Ettin, managed to save his character through a near death experience in which he fought his dark self. This one takes some retelling. John vs an identical shadow self. Rolling initiative, we all knew that whoever had the first strike would win, because Taft's health was really low. A lot rested on that roll. Shadow Taft wins initiative. We pretty much gave up on Taft winning at that point, since Shadow Taft proceeded to charge attack Taft. Dealing him all of his health... except 1. In an amazing and applaudable turn of events, Taft proceeds to "Power Attack that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥", nat 20, confirm, kills Shadow Taft with the minimum damage. Had Taft actually rolled the damage (we did this after), he would have done 42 damage.Bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, 2 strikes, world series, and the rookie is at bat.
