Bring The Pain

Z War Started long before the infection spread. The Beginning was more sinister and calculated. Some say a man named Paxton Fettel took command of a battalion of telepathically controlled clone super soldiers, seizing control of Armacham Technology Corporation (ATC) headquarters, and killing all occupants. F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon was called in to clean up the mess. What F.E.A.R. squad brought was Pain. All clues led F.E.A.R. to believe Fettel was under control of a girl called "Alma", who was locked in the Origin facility. ATC closed down the project. Fettel was searching for that same facility to free his mother when F.E.A.R. point man came face to face with Fettel. He was drawn into a hallucination where He discovered he was Alma's first son and Fettel was his brother.

From the ruins of the ATC facility, a few remaining scientists recovered vials and toxic by-products, transporting them to a hidden (ATC) facility on the east coast. After months of misguided experiments the Lab became the Hot Zone for the outbreak that left many dead and undead. Special infected mutated into horrid deformities with unusal abilities of death and destruction. The infection spread rapidly across state lines and CEDA (Civil Emergency and Defense Agency) were called to contain the infection, but were unsuccessful.

When "The Infection " first began, CEDA tried to contain the virus by quarantining the infected individuals from the public which was unsucessful. Next attemp was full town and city evacuations. CEDA set up evacuation centers around major urban centers such as hospitals, arenas or malls where people were “forced” to go and await further instruction; however it is presumed that the infected individuals also made their way to those locations and were quickly overrun by the infected. With the evacuation centers being overrun, it is rumoured that CEDA either became infected themselves or that they abandoned the public completely.

F.E.A.R. elite force completed their mission, but the fallout dominates various areas and the infection is spreading. Survivors are working together, finding safe rooms, supplies, food and shelter. The virus is mutating, and there appears to be little assistance by authorities. Shelter in place or find a near by extraction point. There is safety in numbers, if your numbers do not include stupid people. so pick your friends wisely.

To this day, evacuation posts quickly close and rescue efforts fail as the infection spreads at a accelerated rate. There currently is no vaccine, no search & rescue efforts, not much hope. If you find yourself stranded with no communications, your best hope is to find other survivors who can help you reach the few remaining extraction points. Bring essentials for survival; have plenty of weapons and ammo; and most important: Bring the Pain or be Left 4 Dead.
