Welcome to Azkaban!

This group is for the Ark: Survival Evolved server Azkaban. Here you can connect with your fellow players, obtain current server information, contact admins for help, and see what our upcoming events will be! Any helpful suggestions regarding mods, settings, and events are more than welcome!

If you have questions, contact either stoutwork (Lavitz) or ttostens (Lilith).

Rules

• Try not to spawn kill. It cannot always be helped, especially on a PvP server, but if possible, leave new players alone.
• No restricting players for more than 30 minutes.
• No harassment or griefing. If you are causing extreme harm or doing as much as possible to prevent others from playing, this qualifies as griefing.
• Only destroy what is necessary when raiding. Passive dinosaurs are allowed to be killed.
• Be courteous to each other. Try to refrain from using racist/hateful language. PvP servers do tend to get passionate but keep outbursts to a minimum.
• No overly explicit dinosaur/tribe names. If asked to change, please do so.

Every incident will be ruled on a case-by-case basis, but try to avoid breaking any of the rules.

Events

Events will be held regularly at a specially created arena. During these events, you will compete against your fellow players for points to spend on prizes! For more information, go to our discussions!

Supply Drops and Loot Crates

Supply Drops and Loot Crates have been altered by the admins. Most of the fun is in discovery, so we will not be posting the tables. There are no blueprints to be found in any supply drops or loot crates to promote competition and hunting. For more information, message an admin.

Donations

Donations are always welcome to help further the server! With any donation over $5, you can have a cosmetic item of your choice or custom coloring for your tame! This will stack with each donation, so a donation of $10 will get you 2 cosmetics or 2 custom colored dinos or 1 of each!

Server Closing Due to Inactivity and Low Population

Hey everyone, I am sorry to say that we are going to be closing the server at the end of the month. Unfortunately, due to many factors, it appears people don't really want to stay and play on the server and it is hard to justify paying for a server with a regular population count in the low single digits, especially when we don't have a lot of extra income at the moment.

On top of this, I have broken my arm and it is really hard for me to play and putting all the admin duties onto Lavitz is unfair. That is the reason we weren't at events tonight is because I had to go to the hospital.

Hopefully you did enjoy the time you spent here, we certainly enjoyed hosting it. I would like to keep in touch and maybe open it again someday but we did not want to string you along. Lavitz will most likely continue to play and I may join back once my arm heals. Until then, have fun and let us know of any awesome Ark servers you find!

I apologize as I am going to bed, but I did say I would keep you updated on any bugs or problems that I have read on Reddit.

• Currently you cannot use a spyglass/torch/gps/etc while riding a dino. This can be circumvented by equipping the item before jumping on the dino then pressing Q. link 1 link 2

• You can currently mine meat/chitin from rocks and trees.link

• There is apparently very bad lag for certain players. Be careful if you are hunting or taming or even just flying.link

• BIGGEST ISSUE - People are reporting that they are falling through the earth. If this happens to you, please message us. link 1 link 2

We are going to sleep but we both have Steam linked to our phones, so try to message both of us if you can because the phone app is buggy and will sometimes not show in our notifications.

Please be wary and realize that these are not necessarily all the bugs that may be in this newest patch. Also realize that there may be a patch coming later tonight to fix these, and if we are not on, you can always message us. Thank you!
