Hey there and Welcome to Awesome-Lane.

Founded by Dave and Lbird this place will serve as group where you can either play games and join organized game nights, or you can just hangout and talk about the newest games or gadgets and also you can do role-plays here. Basically it's a place where you can have fun with your buddies all across the internet.

About Game Nights :

Although Awesome Lane focuses heavily on roleplay, sometimes we feel like letting our
wizard hats hang in the closet. Therefore we also have occasional gaming events. We like to play games like Counterstrike: Source or Left For Dead 2, but of course many more. If you feel like hosting a gaming event talk to the admins and we'll get the event up and running !


The basics of how we like to role-play :

if your character speaks use the name of your char followed by :

Like for example. -
Homer : I could really use a ice cold beer right now.

When thinking. -
Homer : | I could really use a ice cold beer right now. |

We like to use an ST. -
A story teller, basically the story teller is a god. He makes up the story and hosts the rp.
Also he decides what happens with the characters of other players in most situations.
The ST can have characters of his own, but it is also common for them to not do so. If you don't like the powers of the ST you can always use the online dice-roller at -

Online dice-roller. -
We like to use this if we don't feel like the ST should have all the power -or- if the ST wants to use a dice roller to add an element of luck to the fun he can operate one for the story's sake.
We prefer to set the number of sides to 20.
The number of dice to roll 1.
And the number of rolls also 1.
But you can discuss this with your rp group beforehand of course.


Notes :

As the Story-Teller. -
Be sure you have some experience in role-playing and keep a good pace in leading such.
Remember you're hosting this and your group counts on you to make it a good role-play.

Please keep a good pace. -
If you think you have enough time to get a good role-play done, then you probably are going to be fine. Being AFK or distracted from it is not going to make those roleplaying with you happy at all.

Don't act stupid. -
If your character has completely uncalled for abilities/equipment in a setting that goes undiscussed by the mass prior to introduction you will be told to do something else or leave. (eg: A laser rifle with a ballsack in a ww1 setting)

Discuss if you want to have adult themed rp's or not, people don't like it sometimes for their own reasons.
If the group doesn't like something, then don't be a rebel about it. Unlike your government we will kick you out.
