Officer Meeting - August 28th 2018 > We had a good couple of weeks, with a couple of events as well > We had some changes going on in our Discord as well - Although that's kinda how Discord will be as we grow and have more things going on > Hope you all had a great August! :D Organizing Events > Over the course of the last weeks, we started setting up the bases of how we can organize events - People bring their ideas on the #suggestion channel to get a discussion started - They polish their concept if there's enough approval (on their own or with our help) - We do all testing and feedback review required surrounding all that - Once everything is settled, we make a final announcement and post it once everyone's ready > We used the two previous meetings to address all ideas and details for the events we had - We had a lot of suggestions to handle and we wanted to build an active calendar of events for SK > Now that we've build more of a conversation outside the meetings, that will allow us to organize events in a more paced/steadly fashion - ...and allow our meetings to be more focused and not last more than two hours, thank god! ;u; Past Events > We hosted the Level Up Challenge one week ago > We hosted the Plug Race event on this last weekend - We did have some difficulties regards communication and consensus with everyone - However, I feel we managed to take that as a learning experience for the future events - Having a simpler event after what happened made things easier when it came to get all that hindsight into account > Matt talked about rules changes done to the Level Up Challenge and how they were passed around not being in a optimal way - We needed to build a consensus with everyone and clear all possible holes in the event rules - We admit that things could have been handled better, but it's a long journey and this experience will help to make the next ones more organized Next Events > We'll be introducing the Weekly Challenges on the next week - Which will start with a bigger, 2 weeks long challenge, so stay tuned! - These will be missions that can completed at any time, as long as you provide the asked screenshots regarding the challenge > We'll be hosting a Spiral Knights Bingo event! - Given we're entering a slow season (with school and college restarting) - ...and how we'll be reserving the weekend prime slots for events in other games as well, - ...expect this one to happen in two weeks or so - We'll be working out the details, but the basics are, given a bingo card filled with SK challenges, the first one to complete a bingo win! > Faction Wars - We'll be hosting our "Escort the VIP" challenge within a month, so keep an eye on that as well! o: Recruiting > Like we've mentioned before, recruiting is a continuous effort to keep our community active and thriving > Given we are entering the slow season, we'll be purging every end of the month now, instead of every 15 days > Either way, make sure to recruit new players whenever you can - And promote our recruits if they are active enough! o: Veterans Nominations > We had no nominations for the Veteran rank this time around > If you have a nomination though, do bring them up in the next Officer Meeting however Officer Applications > We had nobody applying for the Officer rank this weekend > But if you're interested in taking part of our crew, you can apply on any of our Officer Meetings! > Just remember you don't need a rank to help Altosk out, any effort is welcome and appreciated!~ <3 Song of the Day > This was originally something that Runs-Around-Haven ran (no pun intended, haha) on his own before > Now, I feel like we all could try and take part on this project - That's to both keep it active (not much of a Song of the Day if it's not updated daily, amirite? B) ) - ...and to bring some variety in the music taste of the guild and allow everyone to share their own favorites > Just remember to update the Song of the Day in BOTH Discord and Spiral Knights if you do > Be respectful and wait your turn for the SotD, and let's keep that groovy babeh alive!~ - If you're not an Officer, just suggest your SotD to our Officers!~ Officer Promotion Cerimony > It's still a work in progress, but it's gonna happen!
