ABOUT 95trane's Server

95trane's Servers now go public!

Originally only for friends, it is now open to the public! My L4D2 servers were once used only for gaming with friends, but I decided to have it open for all who may be interested. Reason for creating this group is because of the fact that I haven't been playing l4d2 much anymore, and my servers remain untouched for however long I have not played L4D2. Thus, I created this group for anyone who may be interested in playing in any 1 of my 4 servers.

I host 4 different types of servers:
- 95trane's version of "Realism" in COOP
- Tank Rush
- 95trane's "Run and Gun" Server
- Simply 6 players
- Some broken server

NOTE: These are NOT 24/7 servers. They are all hosted by me: 95trane, and are up whenever I have them up. I shall have any random 1 up at a random time. If you want to play on a specific server, please just ask me to switch servers; but if one was up prior to you asking me, and it has players on it, save your breath as that is to be the server to join. Take it or leave it. But if I have yet to have my server up, or if there is absolutely nobody in it, feel free to ask me to switch it / put up the server of your choosing.

alright, now for the rules of this group.

Fans / normal group members:
*Anyone may join. There is no restriction on who may or may not join.
- Please be mature, because 1 of my pet peeves are immature people.
- Please no name calling, or "put down" a fellow member.
- No spamming, trolling, etc.
- Please only speak/type in English. I dont want my comments page to be filled with text in which i can not read.
- When a server is up and there are people on it, please don't ask me to switch it. You may only ask me to change the current server if there are no one on it. Other then that, the current server is to be the server hosted; take it or leave it.
- Please don't send me(95trane) any friend requests if I do not know you. I do not take random friend requests so don't even bother with them. If I were to play with you on the other hand, make sure you have played at least a few games with me before you even send 1. If I decline it, maybe play several more games with me; if I decline again, then most likely I am not interested.
- Just simply be nice, mature, respectful, and "civil"

Admins:
*i will promote u to this spot if i find that u deserve the spot. so basically, if i've known u for a while / played with u many times, and i enjoyed the time i spent playing with u, then i will "promote" u to the admin seat.
- Follow the rules stated above
- Do NOT missuse ur power
- Try to make sure that when posting an announcement, make sure it matters. And it isnt just some random BS.

Finally have a server up again

I have rented out another dedicated server until December, so you guys are free to play on that.

However, it is NOT tank rush. I truly wanted to have a dedicated tank rush server up, however, it seems like the tank rush mod is broken for this particular dedicated server. It will start tank rush as normal, but it would break and not spawn ANY infected should you lose a round and continue to be broken for the remainder of the campaign. Because of this, I just removed the tank rush mod while keeping everything else the same which is a shame because it used to work just fine the last time I rented a dedicated server (which means that a recent-ish l4d2 update must have broken the tank rush mod for linux based dedicated servers).

If you would like to try playing on this server, you have 2 options to join:
- Members of this group should be able to join through the "Group Servers" menu on the bottom right of the main menu of l4d2. You can click and go into the "Group Servers", and select "Some broken server" to join.
- if you know how to use and join a server through the console, the command to join is:
connect 208.167.235.29:27025

Free Tank Rush for a month

I guess it was kinda unfair to just ask for donations when most have never really even played on my tank rush server. It just seemed as though people were interested so I just did it. So maybe if I allowed people to play on my tank rush server, it would incentivize people to donate.
I went ahead and rented out a server for 1 month and 1 month only (it's all I could afford). If this isn't enough to garner up demand, I don't know what will. So with that, I will use this little investment of mine to see just how much people want to make my tank rush server a thing. If it can't stay afloat then I'll just let it slip back into its zombie-limbo state.

SERVER IS UP AND RUNNING! The 1st true 24/7 tank rush server for this group.

into the console (enable console -> press the ~ key on keyboard, type above command in).

(Also, I dun goofed and accidentally got a server located in New York so... I still managed to get 100ish ping when testing it out, so it doesn't seem to be that bad at all. Password also seems to be broken, so server is pretty much open to the public)
