I'm willing to play either if no one feels very comfortable with them, though. My concerns are, however, that 1) I'm only good with the huntsman. If the other team has a skilled scope sniper, that could be dangerous. 2) In competitive matches, the scout should be true to his name. Scouting the front lines and often talking about where the enemies and what classes they are. In other words their goal isn't so much to get a lot of points. They even might have to act a bit suicidal. It's not really my normal scout playstyle.
Spy I'm just terrible with all around. I have like 3 hours played since I reset my stats and probably only one hour before that. So that's like 4 hours out of 800.
I think the most important thing will be communication.
Although most tf2 matches seem to be hinged on having roles filled with experienced and knowlegable players in the hard hitting classes, from my experience in the SotQ PA highlander group, it's essential to have ALL the roles performing decently rather than just putting a warm body in to fill the spot.
Basically what I'm trying to say is when you look at the class selection during normal games, the classes that people tend to say "we could use one less X of" are the classes that will make or break us. If two folks list heavy and scout as preferred, I'd rather have the one that is a better scout go scout.
Oh wait that's bad.
I am good at Demo/Heavy/Medic. I think it would be hilarious to play a gunslinger engy though. I'm also decent as pyro, soldier, and okay as scout. I'm useless as spy/sniper.
