Is it a single / Co-op game, or a mmo, is there a summoner class? is it forced online connection?

I can't seem to login to the servers, did the devs discontinue the game? I wanted to play it again after leaving a year ago for the nostalgia but nothing seems to be working...

I just witnessed two players casting spells as if they do not trigger cooldowns of other spells. They claim that spells keybind to one key are not triggering global cooldown and all you have to do to fire off spells that cycle is to bind them all to one

I just wanna say this game is great, if there was a feature to add 5, 10 or 25 skill points at a time that would help alot.
