The best worst game ever

Honestly, for a source game this is pretty wild.


Has a fantastic inventory/skill menu with plenty of content to go through with the side missions to the random mission objectives you can run through various story areas.


Keep in mind the game is old but I think it's a little ahead of it's time for sure considering I've played through it twice already and I can't stop.

its jank but the art direction is incredible, definitely worth your time, really fun with friends.

I recommend if you enjoy janky game that take about 10 to 15 hours to get good if you know what you are doing

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy the game who resemble Warhammer 40k as in men in big armor with big guns and magic
Then of course you have the atmosphere which remind me of an old anime called Serial Experiments Lain which depend on who you ask it can get in the way of gameplay let say the awfully strong fog in levels
There are other references but let’s not get into it

First off the characters creation there is a lot of stuff to choose from, but it felt like random generated status so keep clicking on their random button until you see mostly green on your status
I recommend keeping mental balance high other wise you going to find yourself keep meshing repair self-button as you do anything else

Then the game starts the first thing you be noticing after the short walk is the amount of tutorial video you get

After making your way to a slightly longer distance for EYE standard the first combat section appear since this is a source game the combat does felt like Half Life 2 the way of enemies behave and ragdoll, but the guns make it not Half Life 2 like and more enjoyable

Next level with combat section that is where you truly feel how big and empty the levels are and the spawn rate of enemies in which I suggest turning down the spawn rate
Will that come off as level being to empty?
Yes, but now you can enjoy the atmosphere are lot and may spend over an hour making your way to that short cut but it turns out it lead to nowhere or try out other ways to approach the mission as far as I know there is only one way to approach that is shoot everyone that move or turn invisible then find a place to shoot everyone or hack into someone if you somehow manage to not get shot then shoot everyone from there
Also, when it comes to enemies there is a lot range from a guy with a gun to a guy with a gun with too much Armor, Aliens, robot, werewolf (no Vampire though), oddly colourful Demons whose death sound like saying OH Men, tall guy with hammer, Cyberdemon (Doom) and a lady that dress like she is supposed to be in a party that just shoot you

But really there is only two type normal and bullet sponge basically it means if you find yourself spending 500+bullet shooting at an aircraft or Cyberdemon (Doom) then get yourself what know as Armor piercing (Just shoot it with TRK A.D or Bear Killer)

You got magic it is useful like spawn 7 guy for your aid or turn ammo to health or teleport to enemies location
But can you do more like make your own spell like Two Worlds 2 unfortunately you can’t which is a let down

And that’s about the experience of all other levels of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
Expect more enemies will appear later levels this is why I am going to write about the death system, you see the thing about this game is that once your character health reach zero he dies then spawn right at the point of death then very likely die again until run out of spawn
Also, when you try to go out of bond then it spawns back to start of level

But did I not mention something about turn down enemy spawn rate?
Well somehow it stops working for me after level 2
If you are planning to use console command for God Mod, then don’t bother because the game stop you

After you get in the XP farm map make sure to turn up your difficulty to max then keep attacking the enemy since this game reward the player XP by damage done to enemy and reward more money or Brouzouf as the game called it base on how hard the enemy is

Will that break the game?
Yes, it will, should you skip this custom level and try unmoded experience?
Yes, try it
Why do I even recommend this the first place?
Because you get destroy even before the Mars level and you will miss out on most of the research that give you bonus in game
As such if you are one of the heroes who manage to get all research and reach max level without mod then I salute to you

Lastly the story I am going to be honest character interaction can range from I have no idea what’s going on to insulting each other within a dialogue away
Think of the story this way the world is basically set in Warhammer 40k you play as one of the space marine but inside he is really James from Silent Hill 2

Personally, I love EYE for what it is the story is out there as in you can’t understand whats going on meanwhile everything makes perfect sense

Game is like a damn fever dream, i love it. Its old, clunky and contains Russian Samurais. Its super sandboxy, you can play kinda as Wizard with different Spells and stuff like Shadow Clones for example, you can be a hacker and hack stuff around the map to help you, you can go Super heavy Melee with a huge hammer, you can pick up all kinds of weapons just to name a few possible ways. Its overall a great game.
