So... what is this game???

I'm thoroughly confused... Is this a flight sim? Or just a series of 360-degrees, prerecorded flights over NYC? If it's a sim - is it realistic at all? Or is GTAV-style piloting (easy-mode)? If it's an actual sim - can you use HOTAS controls, or rudder pedals (it IS a heli, after all). Also, what's up with the all-white buildings? Why does one small part of the city seems to have textures, and the rest doesn't? Is this a style choice? Or was this for the alpha version? Finally - what's the "Garou"...
