The falling spike things never change pattern, but they're impossible to go thru. Game broke

Would have loved to take a screenshot of my results (before they automatically disappeaered after about five seconds) but hitting F12 does nothing. Tried restarting the game and taking a screenshot. No dice. Tried setting a different key for the shortcut. Nope. Why is this a thing? Great game, by the way!...
