Development Update - Caricature Art!

Caricature art is on the way!

When we hear the word stylized within the indie scene we often think about Ghilbi, pixelated or a hand drawn look. Rarely do we see a grotesque, exaggerated, and darkly cartoonish style... and I'm here to embrace it!

I've hired a very talented freelance caricature artist by the name of Luis Rojas to help me with these hand painted Bash Moto end screens. Artwork depicting riders getting busted, wrecking their bike, losing a race, winning and rider portraits. I've added one of these paintings to the screenshots section to give you a taste of what's to come.

Development Update - General Polish

13 Feb

Color tinting your helmet independently of the body is now an option
Improved texture sharpness on rider and bike sprite. I found better mipmap settings for my layout. One new screenshot added showing the latest (first one)
More sfx added ranging from engines, suspension and thumps.
Speed line screen effect added

Development Update - Bike Shop

Bike shop screenshot has been added! It's here where the player will purchase their junk bikes, sports bikes and super bikes. There's also a menu to adjust the primary color and trim color of their suit and bike. If you want to see the shop menu in motion I recommend checking out my youtube, X or instagram [instagram.com]page.

Cockpit UI like in 1996?

Hello dear dev :) Just wanted to ask, if your game will include the iconic Cockpit UI with the MPH, health bar and rpm meters at the bottom of the screen? Thank you in advance <3

a game I used to play as a kid with my father. Will this game have local coop? I guess single player would become boring too soon. edit: The game was called road rash.

Hey, uh, so what's up with the cartoony looks? Pastel colors and soft shadows make the game look like something made for the Flash Player in the 2000s, not gritty vehicular combat game about violent punks beating ♥♥♥♥ out of each other with no regard for civilians on the road. Even the game's banner doesn't fit with the game's washed out tone/graphics, because the banner actually fits the bill....

FINALLY someone decided to bring this back!

Hey man! This is awesome. A couple of suggestions just for the trailer alone, from a guy closer to the 4 decades who played Road Rash since its original conception back in the Genesis. 1. The collision detection for the chain looks odd. It would be a tremendous improvement over the original to make every hit feel like you are actually punching, kicking or weaponing someone! :P 2. I read in the FAQ that you are considering a Kickstarter to improve over what you have already which I think is awesome. Coul...
