Fun little roguelike that isn't pixel art. Neat finishing moves.

This game is very much a StS-clone (I say this as a compliment) but does add some changes to the formula, a couple of examples being a persistent item/card shop that you can use even in the middle of a battle, or skillpoints you can use to build your character a specific way during a run (as opposed to the random relics you get in StS). My very first run took about 2.5 hours (idle and AFK time included) and ended in a clear, so it did seem a little bit easy at first, but if anything, I'm even more eager to dive back into the harder difficulties that are now available.Give this one a shot!

The game feels close to finished. There's kinks and you can get stuck (they have an unstuck feature). It's INCREDIBLY obscure, however. Finding help online is difficult unless you go to their discord (which is publicly listed).The good:Easy respec while still having extremely complex skill system.Click-to-hit with dodge mechanics (feels like it wants to be more forgiving dark souls...but isn't afraid to punish you if you really try to swing-to-win)It's hard to refer to any "classes" in the game because you WILL dip into several trees.Intuitive gameplay design.Procgen dungeonsTeleport straight from town to dungeons. No open world. This is a good thing in my mind.The bad:It has kinks/it should be EA.Character facing isn't always in line with camera direction. This can be reconciled by holding forward while hitting.Little guidelines on how different builds/weapons work - though experimentation is made VERY easy.The ugly: It can be hard to understand why you're under some effect or another as there's no combat log.Overall, I recommend this game in its current state because of the price as well as because of the current state of game releases. If you have a lot of games to play - set an alarm for 6 months from now. By then most of the kinks should be out and you can pick it up.
