The game features decent animations and charming pixel art, with a casual difficulty level that makes it well-suited for short, on-the-go play sessions—especially on a device like the Steam Deck. There's a surprising amount of dialogue and story content, though I personally found it hard to connect with the overall vibe.

Progression felt slow, with upgrades appearing few and far between, which made the gameplay feel shallow and overly drawn out. After about two hours, the experience started to feel repetitive and tedious. I think the game would have benefited from tighter pacing and more compact level design to avoid the creeping sense of boredom that set in.

Nice for a one time play through, but the game does not give proper explanation of what mechanics do or gives enough movement speed to clear some obstacles. Also in no way is this game suitable for teenagers. The themes and visuals are very heavy. With that being paired with the cartoony visuals, any parent looking to purchase this for their child may find them coming to them traumatized.

this is a great game with fun mechanics, memorable characters, and intriguing lore with the tone of the story being able to seamlessly switch between comedic and goofy to dark and dramatic without it feeling jarring and the game play feels rewarding when you finally figure out a map puzzle or how to fight a boss
