This Metroidvania goes against the grain in some ways, but it's still fun. You actually get relatively few upgrades with a greater emphasis on combat and boss fights, though the exploration aspect is very much still there. Some of the boss fights take some doing to figure out, though.

What a game

Made me smile, laugh a lot, but, of course, it has THAT side...

As you get involved with the story and the very charismatic characters, there's no turning back... you're gonna get the f e e l s, the final unroll destroyed my heart without mercy.

Gameplay wise, it is a very fun metroidvania-ish game, of course its story is definitely the strong point, but I think the gameplay was really sweet, lot's and lot's of fun bosses, one of them is still my favourite of all games I played.

I can sum the game as a title of a video I saw about it:

"The weight of a world you care about"

A wonderful masterpiece, I'll carry it forever as one of the games I love and cherish most.

I enjoy the cute storyline and little upgrades and exploration, I really like the gameplay, but actually ATROCIOUS parry system. The parry window is horrible, the parry animation is horrible and feels very desynced, there is literally no indicator of when to parry. Now this would all be fine because it's such a beautiful game, but there are several enemies where parrying is a core mechanic, you CAN NOT defeat these enemies without parrying. And you cannot progress the game without beating the enemies. It's just frustrating to do the same section 3-4-5 times over because the game decides whether my parry parries or not on a whim.
