It's been about half a year since we started the open testing of Slut Squad on both web and Steam. Through this long time, you guys helped us a lot by supporting the game with your feedback and bug reports. No instructions or tutor to play the game. They just throw you into a battle and nothing works after that.

It sounds like this game has crossed that line where “grindy” stops being a challenge and becomes a chore. When basic progression is gated behind microtransactions, it can feel like the developers are nudging you toward paying rather than actually playing — and that’s a fast way to drain all the fun out of a card‑based game.

If it takes hours just to build a new combo, that’s not depth — that’s padding. Good card games reward experimentation, not punish it.

When the core upgrade resource is monetized, it creates a paywall disguised as “optional purchases.” Hitting a cap after only a few levels basically tells you: pay up or stop progressing. That’s a terrible loop for anyone who wants to play casually or skillfully without spending money.

Games are supposed to feel rewarding. If you’re walking away annoyed instead of energized, the design is failing you, not the other way around.
If you’re open to it, I can help you find alternatives that scratch the same itch without the predatory grind — or we can dig into what specifically you wanted from this game so you can find something that actually respects your time.

You will not win unless you pay to play! Even at the lowest levels, the computers cards are double yours. You may get lucky 1 out of 10-15 matches, but don't hold your breath. Obtaining new cards with even a chance to win is a daily log in grind or whip out the wallet.
