Patch 0.0.2.5.0.2 Bug Fixes

**Patch 0.0.2.5.0.2**

- Fixed flatground manual bug
- Fixed grind to manual bug
- Fixed manual to grind bug
- Fixed backwards hat head clipping through
- Bails won't trigger if you grab the board and do a "flip" with it over your head
- Board pop rotation reduced when in grinds

And with this I'm a chill for a bit. My birthday is next week, gonna use that time to reflect on the project, where it is and where it's going, and prepare for the grueling months ahead.

There will still probably some occasional crashes on map changes and in replays/exports of replays especially with a full lobby. Hopefully it's mostly fine for everyone, I still have yet to get a crash since the last patch but a few have so. It's just gotta be good enough for now, I need to recalibrate, but I'll continue to investigate that going forward.

Next big update will likely feature darkslides/catches, late flips, and primos in the least. I'll keep you up to date on the progress starting mid January to early February.

Hot Patch to Address Crashes and Other Bugs.

**Patch 0.0.2.5.0.1**

- Textures are capped to 1024 x 1024 on quest and 2048 x 2048 on pc (some mods uploaded were 4k 8k and even 16k, causing crashes).
- Better memory management with mods and maps, further reducing crashes (can't get Quest 3 to crash, haven't gotten reports from testers on Quest 2 that say they are still crashing on this build... knock on wood).
- Mods no longer sync with Sync Mods disabled, but will show up if downloaded already.
- Fixed (or massively reduced) ghost landings (landing but still stuck in air state).
- Menu scroll speed fixed.
- Edit Skater menu flickering on Quest fixed.
- Board hugs the ground smoothly instead of lifting up sometimes when going up ramps.
- Mod gear on first load should be fixed. It now waits for modio to connect.
- Button spamming is now fixed, with a .5 second cool down between button presses.
- Fixed white lines on hats.
- Fixed bearing menu bug that swapped your wheel color.

Please let us know in the discord if you're still crashing on Quest 2, or see anything weird (like people changing clothes affecting you. NOTE: If you play with people that haven't updated the game yet you will experience bugs like that.

Winter Update is Out!

Better late then never they say, right? Merry late-Chrimbus and happy holidays!

This update adds a new map, gear mod support, winter version of Seattle, legs! and more.

Here's what's been added:

New MiniMega Map
Winter Seattle Update
Mod Gear Support
Legs!
Vert Overhaul Part 1
Pumping (throw your hands downwards when going up or down ramps to speed up)
Added Player List to Session Info Tab
Added Mute Player and Self Function to Session Info Tab
Added Player Names (Multiplayer > Session > Enter Name)
Added Host Disconnect Message When Host Ends Session

This update marks a huge change in the game and underlying physics, some jank is to be expected. A multitude of bug fixes, and maybe some new bugs. If you enable Sync Mods in the settings, or download too many mods, you may experience an out of memory crash on Quest 2 or 3. We'll be working to patch this and more in the near future. But if you don't go too crazy with it, it's very stable. Enough that we felt it was time to let it out there.

playing this game is really awkward with index a much more natural feeling scheme would be right trigger to step and left trigger to ollie

Aloha, you guys cooked up something really dope here. The game is seriously fun and I can already see myself sinking a ton of hours into it. Super stoked this kind of thing finally exists. One thing that really throws me off though is the steering. When I turn my shoulders (or hands) to steer the board, it feels kinda weird that only the board rotates but the player’s body doesn’t follow. For me that ends up feeling super awkward, and I catch myself standing all twisted and tense. I basically have to...

So with turning and stuff, you shouldn’t have stick and hand active at the same time. The hand steering is also counterintuitive. I get that to you guys it makes sense but that’s because you’ve been developing it. It should be head direction. I mean, in skating, what do you do? You look where you want to go, and your body sorts the rest out. The hand direction is finicky you move your hand left and you go right. There’s a reason why hand-based directional movement isn’t really a thing anymore ...
