Big Update: Hardcore Mode

Prepare yourself for Survival in the Elite Experiment. Only the Best of the Best rats are being Approved for Elite Testing. So, stay on your toes RAT! There's NO help to get here, as you are Truely... Alone...

UPDATE 2 - Hardcore Mode

Patch Notes 1.2

This update adds the long awaited Hardcore mode, only for Elite Rats.

You will get ONE rat, and ONE rat only. It will be a black rat, with red eyes.

No Upgrade Atoms, No Life DNAs. If you lose your rat, it's game over, and you will have to start again from scratch with a new elite rat.

In Hardcore Mode, you can still find fur colors and unlock new rats, so you don't have to play on normal mode at all if you don't want to.

You can only have ONE game active at one time, so clicking "New Run" will reset your current run-progress, no matter if it's hardcore or normal mode.

The Hardcore Mode is iteration 1, and will be improved down the line.

Added two new rat types to unlock.

Massively improved the visual effects on the blisters, for those rats who has blisters on them.

The "boring blisters rat" has now been updated with an improved model.

The game has been approved for Steam Deck

Many small tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes

Cool game but frustrating Cyborgs!

I played this game not for long so far but i am already very upset with the Cyborg rats. You only can run from them and while they do not have any stamina... i constantly have to stop. Its extremely frustrating and often end my runs just cause they search and destroy you with no affort. Would be cool if there is any counterplay, any powerup, anything there is you can do against them. My they get confused when you brake line of sight, may get stunned by the traps or something else. How come traps dont affect the cyborg hunters?

Outsmarting them by luring them into a trap and...nothing....like they ghosted through the traps and inside blast radius, does no damage to them. This game's rigged!

Big Update: Haunted Playgrounds

Welcome back, RAT!

Prepare yourself for survival in the two new big biomes. The fun and colorful Playgrounds Biome, and the horrifying Haunted House Biome... Joy meets Horror.

UPDATE 1 - HAUNTED PLAYGROUNDS

Patch Notes

This update reworks old biomes, and add new biomes.

Added new Playground Biome (spawns randomly like all other biomes).
Added new Haunted House Biome (spawns randomly like all other biomes).
New big backrooms biome room, more open.
New big cube biome room, more open.
New medium size generic sci-fi biome room.
Tweaked and improved many of the old rooms.
Reworked lighting in all rooms.
Spider-Rat now uses the whole room as it's Nest.
Before it used a big radius from where it spawned.
The 3 cyborg hunters will not be random the first 3 encounters, it will be one of each.
All toys are now rubber ducks.
Added rubber duck spawner, starting on phase 2.
Fixed Gatling-Rat getting stuck for no reason.

Many small tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes

Cyborg-Related Ideas

First of all, this IS a good game, but the cyborgs are just a part of the game that makes it very frustrating to play, as they can be the deciding factor for your entire run. As someone who refunded the game (for now, hopefully not forever!) due to cyborgs being more annoying than threatening, I have a few things to propose. Due to "loops" sometimes being very risky to go through due to traps, even if your rat has amazing stamina, or sometimes a complete lack of anywhere to go, I think some cyborgs should...

Are the other rats other players?

This seems like an obvious thing,but I'm just curious for a definitive answer. I always see them running around like me which seems indicative but nobody does the puzzles that I've seen so that tends to make me think the latter. I do every shape puzzle I possibly can so I figure any player might be prone to do the same or see me doing so and follow suite. Thanks for reading and any responses.
