From January 13 (Tue) to 25 (Sun), 2026, asaha’s solo exhibition will be held at LOCAL GALLERY & BOOKS in Nakano, Tokyo.

The exhibition will feature original artworks from Heartreasure 1 & 2 and other past works, including game background illustrations, along with merchandise sales.

Today, I'd like to share the latest news about the music!

The soundtrack for Heartreasure: Stellar Journey features original solo piano pieces composed by Daisuke Shiiba. After working at Nintendo, he is now a freelance composer contributing to various indie game titles.

Back in the very early stages of development—when the game didn’t even run yet—we had detailed discussions while looking at ballpoint pen concept art and the previous titles, Heartreasure 1 and 2. From there, we decided to go with an analog, hand-drawn-inspired musical style that matches the softness of the art.

We rented out an entire hall and recorded a live piano performance just for this soundtrack!

The pianist, Chie Shijo, beautifully expresses the gentle pace of a cosmic journey.

The recording was done using rare open-reel tape for a fully analog sound experience!

The photo shows the piano stage used for the recording session, along with the equipment set up in front of it. The device on the far right with the large reels is the open-reel tape recorder.

The tape wound on those reels spins while the sound waves are converted into magnetic signals and recorded. This method creates a warmth and depth that digital recording can’t replicate.

When you listen to it, you can really feel the piano sounding as if it’s placed inside a vast, open space.

The first release of the Original Soundtrack is available on cassette tape!

A download card is included, so you can enjoy the music on your smartphone or PC even if you don’t own a cassette player.
