i am not exaggerating when i say this. rainbow unicorn dash didn't just entertain me. it consumed me. from the very first run, i could feel it in my blood. the speed. the color. the pure, electric momentum. this isn't just another 2D steam game. this is a full-on adrenaline storm wrapped up in rainbows and puppies. and now, standing victorious, i, tamago, have conquered rainbow dash... but the thrill of the chase still burns.

the most game-changing thing about this masterpiece is the combo system. how insanely satisfying it may be. the moment you dash through enemies and witches and your shoes blow off your unicorn and start bouncing wildly across the stage, something primal kicks in. suddenly your brain is racing: track my shoes... line up the dash... never. drop. the chain. every successful extension feels like defying gravity itself. every near-miss makes your heart spike and pound. it transforms what could have been simple gameplay into a relentless, pulse-pounding dance of precision and greed.

yet...somehow... somehow, it stays joyful the entire time.

the art style is pure, unfiltered happiness. knowing it was designed by this dev's child gives this game a raw, genuine charm that polished corporate visuals could never replace or replicate. it's cute in the best possible way- bright and expressive. bursting all with personality. the visuals don't just decorate the gameplay; they amplify the emotional high of every run.

what truly may have shocked me though is how smooth and fair the experience feels even for players its high ping. that is rare. ridiculously rare. the controls remain responsive, the action readable and the competition feels legitimate instead of frustrating. the leaderboards become what they SHOULD be: a battlefield of skill- not connection luck.

the outside world presses faintly at the edges of my awareness- the dim light through my window, the quiet passage of hours, the responsibilities you absolutely meant to handle today. somewhere behind you, life intervenes. my wife begs me to be freed from this game after abandoning the outside world, her voice carrying that mix of concern and disbelief, like she's watching someone drift too far out to sea. for a moment...just one simple moment... guilt flickers. and my red shoe bounces back into frame.. another dash. another perfect extension. the combo counter climbs higher than it has any right to. and there... the rush hits all over again, bright and unstoppable. the guilt fades. the room fades. the clock slows and there is only the run.... the beautiful... fragile, high-stake run. you tell yourself this is the last one. you always tell yourself that. but deep down, you already know the truth.

and yet... nothing replaces rainbow unicorn dash.

the quick session design makes this game dangerously easy to continue... the unlockable abilities give me just enough progression to keep the fire alive.

just as its name given by its forefather... RUD is fast. it's happy. it's chaotic in the most beautiful way. and above all.... it's its own category.

When I first booted up this game I didn't think much of it. But then when I collected my first pair of shoes it appeared clear, the title was not fraudulent, this unicorn REALLy can DASH. Ever since that discovery it became a true slippery slope, the progression system, all different kinds of NPCs and their AI making each run an unique experience. The addition of leaderboard was a bold decision that in the end really paid off. It motivates you to keep playing, to advance in the ranking system to aspire to be the best Rainbow Unicorn Dash player you can possibly be, and that is the true essance of the gamplay. This game is not just a game, it is an experience and an extraordinary one at that. It is a life lesson of a kind, the type of game that not only provides entertainment but also elevates you as a person, elevates you to levels of greatness you previously could have seen as impossible to achieve. But Rainbow Unicorn DASH is the push for greatness that lets you become the impossible. I want to thank the developer from the bottom of my heart for creating this experience. Truly an underrated masterpiece that when met with appropriate audience witll surely blow up and inspire hundreds if not thousands of people to make a good change in their life.

I found this game through steams horse fest palooza and boy am I glad I did, I took the leap and downloaded all 200 MB and opened it, on a first run things can be a little tough but the curiousity made me want to find out more, I slowly understood what I was doing and it felt like my eyes were opened. Nothing feels better than getting a 4 shoe combo into a dog friend combo then bringing it all together with a zebra off cooldown. full body chills.

I felt like Paul Reverie telling my friends to play this game, I cant be the only one. I need more people to try this (though I bet you won't beat my leaderboard score). I still feel sorry for my friends who went to bed without trying this because who knows how long something like this might be small and humble, I'm happy to call myself one of the first.

The art was the first thing to pull me in, all done by someone much younger (and more talented) than myself, made me pause for some self reflection. The ideas, the sound, the colors are all unlike anything I've seen before and it's a shame big name studios wouldn't try going with a similar direction with their art but that's what keeps games like this a gem.

Developer, if you are reading this please keep going, dwtw studios is going to take off one day I just know it, this whole game puts my entire university to shame, this is the "love" from a secret recipe that can't be recreated by the most skillful of chefs.

I feel like a young boy again, that "one more level" slogan printed on shirts for boys 12 and under, I am among them for I just want to play one more level, collect one more shoe, run one more zebra. Not one glance at the clock and how late it has gotten because this game has gone past that, I don't stop when the time is late, time stops when the game is on.

I have so much more to say but time spent here writing a review is time I could spend depositing hearts into purses IFYKWIM.

If I could erase my memory and do it all again I would.
