Thanks a lot to everyone who took the time to report bugs, and even showing us how to replicate and fix them! We are still working hard on all the bugs found since the release of the game, and will then move on to add more Quality of Life features, as well as new content in the new few weeks :)

Bug Fixes:

- Fixed an issue causing the game to sometimes crash after defeating a boss

- Fixed an issue causing your current progression in the run not to properly be displayed on the top bar after reloading the game

- Fixed an issue with the "Apprentice Thief" event sometimes causing the game to crash

- Fixed issues with cards sometimes appearing too small, or even not appearing

- Fixed some translation and text issues

- Casinos Names are back : The salted Cage and The house

- Shifted Mask can now change to worn mask.

- The contract : Fail a lucky draw is not blocked anymore.

- Thanks to your contributions Steam error on demo is now fixed.

- If you encounter the Steam error on the release version, please report, and try restarting the game from Steam, or you won't have your previous saves.

Changes:

- The "Join our Discord" button will only appear once after the end of the first run, instead of each time

- Spy Coupon now also displays the enemy's draw pile

- Changed the "Next" button in the reward screen to "Skip" for more clarity

If you lose to the far right boss in the third city, the game will be forced to end.

Hello gamblers!

We have some exciting news! RogueJack21 has been selected to participate in the Taipei Game Show this year!

This is a huge milestone for the game. Mel & I (the 2 developers of the game) will be there in person to showcase the game, meet players, and watch you all try to survive the casinos of Noir City.

With the game launching globally on January 22, the timing couldn't be better. If you are attending the event, please stop by the booth to say hi, play a run, and chat about deckbuilding strategies!

game is kinda fun but they are clearly lying about how much ai was used in the making of the game. incredibly obvious ai art (and ai writing) used throughout which taints what couldve been a good game

I honestly wanted to like it, but I can't.

If you want a good blackjack rouge-like, go play Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers.

Even though the devs say AI wasn't used as far as art goes, that feels hard to believe. When I downloaded the demo I clocked it right away. The art feels disjointed while also feeling very "same-y". Uncanny is the best way to put it. That permeates through every thing I've seen throughout the demo and a couple of runs on the main game.

Even if the art isn't directly generated through AI, it feels like a rough draft was, then traced over by an artist.

The gameplay feels a little half baked too. Limiting your deck to a minimum of 13 cards seems to cut a ton of options. Synergies also feel very limited. Being unable to interact with your opponents deck also feels like a missed opportunity. The quality balance of just isn't there, but I can't necessarily put my finger on it.

Does the game fully support ultrawide resolution without pillarboxing / letterboxing (3440x1440 21:9)? Thanks for any clarification on the subject.

How sloppy is the ai slop?

Is it noticeable? (I'm not anti ai for like moral reasons but it often looks either crappy or generic.) Again, not really judging since this isn't the sort of game i expect to have an iconic art style but is it serviceable?

Are void cards too strong?

I just played my first run and beat it easily. Granted its the first difficulty so that is to be expected. My concern is, I simply built for I think all but 3 cards to be void and basically could not lose because I wouldn't bust. Is this intended? Maybe there are mechanics that nullify this at higher difficulties?...

After almost 2 years of development, we are thrilled to finally announce the official release date for RogueJack21! The House opens its doors on January 22 2026.

A massive thank you to everyone who has believed in this project. We’ve been blown away by the positive feedback and can’t wait for you to get your hands on the final version.

In the meantime, the Demo is available to play right now and will remain active until launch! We’ve just updated it with tons of new content and balancing adjustments, so don’t hesitate to jump in and test your luck.
