In just over two weeks, Pawsta is coming to Berlin, so I'm rushing to throw a public demo together for that!
Games Ground is a fantastic event, so I'm really excited to be a part of it! The scene there is super exciting, and I've been toying with the idea of maybe moving there at some point - we'll see!

But hope to see some of you in Berlin, maybe! Though it will also land us in a good spot to be doing a Steam playtest or demo sometime after! And maybe we will find a Publisher/ Investor to help speedrun the rest of the development!

To get ready for Berlin, I've also been posting daily videos on my TikTok[www.tiktok.com], Bluesky[bsky.app], and YouTube accounts to showcase my progress each day!

Which is also a big contributing reason to why I've been quiet here... heh.. sorry about that!

Some recent videos include adding sfx, playing with fire, and making the dishwashing scene demo ready!

So if you want to see every small thing I add, feel free to follow along on one of those channels! The support I get there also really helps motivate me to make new progress!

Recently, we welcomed aboard a new 2D artist to the team - Eva! So please give her a good welcome :))
Eva has already been busy creating some new customer looks, starting with this cute bunny!

The idea atm is to have the body as a blob as it's covered up by a window! But we'd like to later have some outside scenes & feet shouldn't be too difficult to add then! We're thinking of a cute mini Totoro-esque design!

As well as that, Eva brainstormed a load of customer designs based on some unique animals in the Japan and Italy regions, so we bring in some local culture to everywhere we visit:
It's still early, but please let us know what your favourite is!

We're also going to be a part of some Steam festivals coming up soon, so hang tight for some announcements!
We're currently at over 8.5k wishlists, and this extra push with new festivals and the Berlin showcase should land us at 10k hopefully before the end of the year! This, for many publishers, is a golden number, so it's shaping up really well for Pawsta!

Then, after I've taken a break after the showcase, I'll take in player feedback and look into holding a Steam playtest sometime after.

Game Shoutout #1

It's always nice to end these updates by giving a shoutout to other games! And this one is super fitting, as they've actually kindly included a Rigatoni easter egg.

It is so super adorable, and we really appreciate the support, so please give Gingerbread Holiday some love!

Another game that I'd like to recommend is Little Chef: Cozy Cooking!I had the delight of bumping into Erika and the team behind Little Chef at Gamescom this year, and it was so fun meeting others who were running around the indie floor in chef's clothes too!

The game is also super fun & has a small demo out, which I really recommend playing! And Erika also has a crazy active YouTube channel, which is totally worth checking out too!

📢 Yesterday Pawsta joined an incredible lineup of cozy games on Steam for this year's Wholesome Games Celebration! 🥳
We're honoured to be a part of this fantastic event & have already seen a surge in wishlists. We are now at over 7k wishlists, which is incredible! All the support is just so unbelievable & I'd love to extend a huge thank you to Wholesome Games and our new supporters for making a huge difference! You're the best!

We'd also like to encourage you all to check out all the new cozy releases & demos featured on the event page, plus wishlist the upcoming ones that catch your eye!

After a month working together, me (Harry) & Felicia also pushed to upload a new screenshot showcasing a dishwashing scene to give a preview of the new, completely 3D claymation style that we're pushing for! 🎨
It still needs some polish, and we want to add more Italian elements, but we feel we're getting somewhere with the lighting, effects & shape language ✨

We also took the celebration as an opportunity to localise our Steam page into as many languages as we could quickly tick off! Let us know if we're missing any big ones!
We drew upon Pawsta's international team & called in a ton of favours to achieve this! My huge gratitude extends to everyone who helped make this happen 🗺️🥰

It's been particularly fun seeing how each language translates "meep" into other cute mouse noises!
