Here's a new update for all you people! One of the most requested feature is in: a new snow effect!

For this snow effect, I've worked on it to act very similar to the one I've made over 20 years ago. I've studied the old code and even used the same positioning and velocity table values from the old source code to generate the effect. However, to unlock this, you'll need to work for it! It unlocks once you beat the end game.

So what's in the end game? Well, first you'll finally get to see what's behind that door to your left. Then you'll need to defeat the boss rush mode. You'll encounter all your previous boss battles, but this time they will all team up together against you.

Once you beat it, you'll be free to go outside and explore!

However, M.O.M. has always warned you about the dangers of going outside. So what challenges will you encounter? I'll let you find out, but it's a pretty fun and hard one. A part of it can also be considered a brand new game mode.

- Improved collision detection in Robo Busters. Crystals on the ground can now be destroyed for points.

- Fixed music/sound disabled properly on game slots other than 1

- Cursor in match 3 puzzle game can now collect gems

- Garbage Truck Hero (truck maze) controls are much better now, no longer gets stuck when trying to make a turn early

- Spelling mistake in RPG arcade ending

- The Dungeon now gives the player half second of invincibility when entering a room

- Improved collisions in Ping Ball

- New intro music

- New Achievements

The next update will be focused on converting more games into arcades, so be sure to look forward to it. Going to take a bit of a break from development for now, but i hope you'll enjoy this update. Getting closer and closer to getting out of Early Access!

Finally! A major milestone has been reached with 52 games in Retro Endurance 8bit! This is one of the major goals for Early Access. It's not done yet out of Early Access however as I still need to create a proper end game, then start converting these games into full arcades. But it's getting closer and closer!

New in this version are four new games:

It's your classic turtle vs hare fairy tale, except that the turtle's got a rocket pack attached. Spam the button to get the turtle rocketing at super duper speeds.

Play as this gravity defying bug that shoots out lava from its top. This one is a bit tricky to learn how to control, so spend some time getting to know this little bug.

Quickly assemble those hamburgers for those hungry customers. But watch out for those with strict dietary needs!

Play this wonky 3D-ish shoot 'em up and destroy all those robot heads trying to destroy our future!

New accessibility features! (available at level 5)

• Configure your trophy target difficulty: Easy, Medium (default), or Hard

• Set last round speed to either Fast (default) or Normal (no speed-up)

• Add additional time countdown text over the progress meter

  (Special thanks to Serj T. for the ideas on this)

And some fixes:

• Fix for RPG arcade having pausing menu appear behind store & inn screens

• Fix Screen Fill red enemy escaping issue, bug on gem causing player death

• Fix for platformer respawning below ground after falling

• Significant level up requirement reductions until the second boss, some additional reductions afterwards

• Added 500 points to the person finishing first in the races in Multiplayer

• RPG fix with no level up when you get the exact amount of exp required

And a few more features:

• Display the current map (from the game settings button)

• Catching up available multiplayer games to all 52 games

• Added arcade names above the playable arcades

And thanks for all those who sent in your Steam Deck reports! I can happily announce that Valve has officially tested and verified that the game is Steam Deck Compatible!

So what's next for the next version? I'll be working on a proper end game challenge in addition to a boss rush mode. After that I will start converting the remaining games to full arcades.
