Still waiting for this to be ready--what am I missing?

Same graphics. Same fetcha quests. No offense but basically it's the same game with a slightly different wrapper.

I have clicked everything (I've opened the swamp with the 2 alligators but need a spear to progress there) and it seems I only have 2 ways to move forward--one is finding some bread and the other I need tar (I accidentally bought 5 buckets of oil which I can't resell so now I'm out of money). I may have spent my money or sold things I shouldn't have too soon? I don't want to start over but I don't see a way to move on...any tips? Thank you!...

I,m totaly broke and there is nothing to find to progres. Perhaps i f i could vind salt?
