Decent entry in the series. Nice to see more mobile NPCs and creature animations, as well as detailed character portraits. Some oddly paced fetch quests, such as the need to deliver groceries in order to get an item needed to rescue the prince. Good hidden object fun in the form of foraging.

It is somewhat hard to follow continuity between entries as places and towns tend to be unnamed. Main quibble I have is that the music is quick to go into battle mode when navigating through combat areas and slow to return to peaceful music when entering the town. It was somewhat jarring at first, but I got used to it as time went on. Second thing of note is that the player character shows affection for the dragon, but the dragon seems completely indifferent to the player character - I know she's having a very bad week, but even many snake varieties and monitor lizards tend to show more gratitude to humans than is on display here ;)

Well paced achievements. I managed to get all the collection achievements shortly before the final story achievement, without needing to double back to tie up loose ends.

Too short! And what about the guys trying to clear a road block? That should have led somewhere. There was also a guy who kept saying, "Don't bother me." He disappeared and I never saw him again. There were the bandits that were having some kind of meeting in the crystal cave or somewhere? What was that about? Never saw them again, either.

Aside from all of that, I so find these games relaxing. This one just felt a bit incomplete with some loose threads. I'm hoping there's plans to add to it???

so many games are about fast reactions and pinpoint clicks
this series is chill.
there is no timer (like in other games) that adds length but no real substance because you repeat the same level again and again, either to grind something or to get a better time
