## Metal Thunder — Early Thoughts (\~10 Hours In)

**Ever wondered what it’d feel like to sit in an AC-130, orbiting overhead, just raining down fire?**
**You like blowing stuff up? Picking your favorite cannon and making it do terrible things to the ground?**
Then yeah—**buckle up.**

*Metal Thunder* drops you right into that seat. Just big guns, little targets, and a loop that rewards doing damage and coming back stronger.

It’s still in development (clearly stated in-game and on Steam), but what’s here is already hitting the mark.

### If You Like Horde Survival Games:

Think **Vampire Survivors** or **Halls of Torment**, but instead of dodging skeletons, you’re orbiting above them in a gunship.
Survive, upgrade, return stronger. Same addictive loop—just with a whole lot more firepower and a lot fewer pixels moving at light speed.

* Your first run is designed to fail—intentionally. That’s when the upgrade system kicks in and the real loop begins.
* The weapons are the star of the show. The 45mm and 102mm (sometimes called the 105mm by the NPCs) are absolute standouts.
* The 30mm felt weak early on, but players say it scales hard later. (I believe it.)

Not enough content right now. Things need to be polished out too some more.

It's what mobile should be. You pay $12 for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game that's only disappointing after 15 minutes.

I was hoping for a Death From Above mission from MW2 with variation and depth. Complete crap. Avoid.
