I enjoy walking simulators if there is enough in the environment, and/or enough side-activities, and/or a good enough story, to engage me. This game looks neat here and there for sure, but it's AGGRESSIVELY-padded-out in its actual gameplay. You will walk through basic or samey environments for far too long, over and over again. Simple but long mazes with nothing going on, long paths with nothing going on. There is a story here, possibly an intriguing one if you like a bit of mystery, but I found myself growing more and more frustrated at the long, boring, non-scenic walks with each new area, as almost every map has this occur in it.

I tried to be patient about this; see my play game. But eventually, I got too frustrated, and quit playing before I became ineligible for a refund. I honestly believe the way these long walks are structured throughout might only be to pad out the game past a 2-hr Steam refund window. I got so frustrated, in fact, that I wrote a review. I've been active on Steam for a LONG time, but I don't write a ton of reviews; I generally have to be 'spurned' into writing one. This game definitely spurned me.

A lot of people do seem to like the game based on other reviews, so I guess...this is just my own opinion. But I'd recommend pursuing other walking simulators that respect your time better, and give you a much more interesting experience in the process. Walking should be enjoyable; when it's not, all you're doing is trudging along. Maybe I'd call this game a 'trudging simulator'.

This game would be fine at $2-$3 USD, honestly. But as it was going for 9 USD, I expected a fair bit more to...see, do, something. I definitely did not expect a game taking $9 USD would make me go on long, drawn-out walks in mostly-repetitive environments. Shame, that.

This game isn't just reference heavy, it straight up just steals stuff from other works. The moment the game started throwing me dialogue from B3313, word for word, I realized this wasn't worth my time and that was AFTER I had just experienced walking around a near replica of Crossfire from Half-Life and then a replica of the cut Training Level from Half-Life 2's beta. I feel tricked and ripped off but honestly I should've raised an eyebrow at the trailer just having the town area of Wet Dry World from Super Mario 64 thrown into it with barely any changes to it. There's nothing original in this game at all and you are better off paying nearly 10 bucks for anything else.

All style no substance - thats the best way to describe this game. dont buy this game based off your experience with the demo, like i did. the demo made this game seem like it would be a cool sm64 horror themed game, much like B3133 or something akin to that, which it is not. the main "story" of this game is just superficial references to much better classic games like "DID YOU GET DA REFERENCE TO SUPER MARIO OR HALF LIFE?!?! LOOK LOOK THIS ONE TEXT BUBBLE SAYS MASAHIRO!! LIKE UMMMMMM MASAHIRO SAKURAI?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? YKNOW... FROM NINTENDO??? WOAHH GUYS LOOK ITS THE YUME NIKKI LOGO ISNT THAT COOL???? DONT YOU WISH THIS GAME WAS AS INTERESTING AS THAT ONE????". there is barely any actual story in this game, and its all just a haphazard mishmash of video game references.

This game could be best classified as a walking sim/platformer without much platforming. the most platforming youll have to do is jump from one path to another with a 3 inch wide gap thats impossible to fail unless you tried to.
The issue is that usually walking sims make up for their lack of gameplay with a great and engaging story, or insanely interesting visuals and setting (like yume nikki, which this game tries desperately yet fails to be), but this game has neither. Also the annoying CRT pixellation effect cant be lowered or turned off and its nauseating at points.

the game can be beaten in less than an hour for the first playthrough for the "good" ending, and from what im reading from other reviews, the "bad" ending can be done much quicker. im My respects to the dev, but as someone who plays a lot of exploration/walking sims, especially horror ones, this genuinely feels like something that would have been a free itch io game. As the game stands right now, i would not reccomend this to anyone even if you like the horror exploration/walking sim genre because this game is nowhere near interesting or engaging enough to keep your attention for a playthough, much less a second one. Ironically, the demo was somehow a better, shorter, sweeter experience than the full game.
