Hey everyone,

Thank you so much to those who have played our demo and filled out our feedback survey! We've been blown away not just by how many of you took the time to give feedback, but by how thoughtful and in-depth the responses have been. It's so inspiring to see what you're hoping for in the game - your feedback is guiding the direction of Wool at the Gates and we are so excited about where it's headed.

One of the most requested features was Endless Mode, so we've decided to try to add it for the Early Access release, along with some other quality-of-life improvements that many suggested. Therefore we have moved the release date to May 20th in order to have enough time for these changes.

Thank you again for your support. Also keep an eye out for updates to the demo if you're interested in helping beta test the new features before release.

New Demo Available Now!

Thank you to everyone who playtested our previous demo during the October Next Fest. We received so much valuable feedback and have been hard at work making major improvements to the game. This new demo is a true representation of how the game will be in our upcoming Early Access release. We're really excited about these improvements - the major ones are listed below.

Changelist

New Faction - Elves: Elves have joined the Human and Orc factions and come with new heroes, towers, troops and perks
Subclasses: Choose your class bonuses from 3 different options for each class, greatly expanding on your playstyle and strategic options. Choose between gaining a new subclass bonus or leveling up your current ones for a given class.
Improved Mouse Controls: Build and control troops with mouse! Building your city and setting up your troops has never been easier. Still plays great with a controller.
Improved Hero Level-Up System: Your hero now levels up gradually throughout each level, and you can accelerate it by building Shrines and Temples. Choose between gaining new abilities or leveling up your current ones.
Difficulty Options: Choose from Easy, Normal, Hard or Insane modes
Exposed Stats: Many of the stats in the game have been exposed so you can make more informed decisions about your defenses
Reworked Economy: We heard you, Spirit and Upkeep were a drag, and now they are gone! Gold is the only resource you need and upkeep has been replaced with a much less punishing repair cost.
Revamped UI: The entire UI of the game has been reworked to be more intuitive and appealing
Removed Scoring System: We didn’t like how the score system incentivized specific playstyles, so we removed it. Wool at the Gates is all about giving you the freedom to play how you want while completing fun challenges.
Revamped Tutorial and Tip System: The old tutorial was tedious and gave you no freedom. Now you can learn the game with less handholding.
A million other things we don’t have time to write here because we need to go finish the game!

Upcoming

We're currently focused on wrapping up the content for the Early Access version of the game, which will also include quality of life fixes, localization, and achievements. Stay tuned for the launch announcement!

Need quick way to select Summons

1 selects All, 2 selects Melee, 3 selects Ranged 4 should select Summoned i have Grave towers all over the map and i want to be able to quickly select all the summons

Steam workshop?

I really like the gameplay and UI, and I thought it would be nice to support modding with some of your own skills or units or talents and buildings and so on. I found out what it felt like to play War3's TD map.
