Could you make a DLC with some mythology creatures just like you did in Troy？I want to see monsters and magic.

Having a blast. Look, this is not my favorite historical period, and I didn't get this game until Dynasties was out (still haven't played the original title)... But as a big fan of TW in general and in history in general this is a great title. Best aspects imho are:

(1) Massive unit variety. Between Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Hittites and then into obscure units like Elamites... This really has a lot of depth in terms of unit rosters. One of the best things about this is that you are not restricted to the units that you start with as a faction. For example, if I am a Mesopotamian and I conquer Greece, I can recruit Greek units. This is both realistic and fun as a player as you can make unique rosters.

(2) Religion feels worthwhile for the first time since Atilla; there are many different gods and goddesses you can worship and learn about as you conquer new lands, each with different bonuses and effects.

(3) MINOR FACTIONS ARE PLAYABLE. This is awesome. You can play as tiny little minor factions that have like 1 territory and are vassals. It changes up the gameplay significantly, as you are inherently less powerful than titans like Babylon that are right next to you, so you have to actually pay attention to politics and arrange marriages etc to stay in the game, rather than just steamroll.

I wanted to love this game from the start so much. The first two times I played Pharaoh were ~10min each and I had to force myself to come back and give the game a second chance. After the incredible Dynasties update, I had no problem enjoying a memorable 200 turn Odysseus campaign creating my own Ptolemaic-style successor empire in Egypt from Akhenaten. In response to the well crafted Thank You note to the fans released by CA, I thought to make a pros & cons list of my takeaways of what built/detracted from the immersion for me as a lifelong fan of the series since Rome TW:

Cons:
- the Toy Total War design... T(r)oy was the first total war game to add a plastic-like design feel to the units reminiscent of Fortnite. I also struggled to get stuck into this game for that reason alone. The blood update (cough), 2-D unit cards, and missile impact improvements (although Rome 2 javelins still have a much more satisfying impact) all helped with this in Dynasties.
- When in testing phase the team should look to avoid "Tick-off the box Total War" mechanics such as workforce or administrative burden/imperium. Passive, underlying mechanics that reward you for role playing as a responsible statesman or savage warrior are always preferable to an artificial checklist that begins to feel like a chore. I used to love border management, savvy recruiting, and tax policy strategy because I could maximize my population. I also enjoyed migrating population centres for geostrategic or economic purposes. I would suggest CA consults with the DEI for Rome 2 team, as across all TW titles/mods that has the most addictive mechanics and balancing through this method.
- Sea Peoples... I went through 200 turns without a single defensive seige from them as Egypt with the setting turned on. Another faction once sieged Akhenaten, I sent no reinforcements for two turns to get a fair fight, then the AI just leaves. CA please the AI should not tease you in such devilish ways, just a note for testing.
- Defenders routing during sieges on hard difficulty way too soon. I loved how in Rome or Shogun 2 you would have epic last stands in the city centre. Now I feel the game is worried about your attention span and leaves that fun on the table instead.
- The game is less focused on tactical prowess and more on the strength of your units. This can be tweaked in settings of course but I feel this is a good distinction to keep between fantasy and historical titles. I believe historical players will want to prioritize tactics and immersion when faced with these tradeoffs during decisions.
- Seems small but this is HUGE for me. The ability to re-arrange your unit cards on the campaign map the same way you can do it on the battle map. Seems like such a small thing but this distinction is infuriating because I get a constant reminder that I like my army arranged the complete opposite way I assume every one else does with the auto system now. If CA mentions this and the ability to move individual units between armies and forts etc again for the next launch they have me. That is all I ask!

Pros:
- The customization is just incredible. I do not think anyone is allowed to downvote this game considering you can effectively play two different titles just by switching all the settings in different ways. Seriously thank you CA for this.
- The combat balancing was very tastefully updated in Dynasties. Battles last 5-15min usually with heavy troops serving a prolonged holding combat role, where you can use light troops to manoeuvre/cycle engage your foe. In the best Total War games the battles are spectacles as well as tactical challenges, so patience in the pacing is appreciated.
- This allows you more time to enjoy watching the beautiful settlements and battle map design as well. I really notice the improvement here when playing older titles again. I hope the terrain modifiers, aesthetics and impact sticks around!
- Eternal strength and prosperity to all who read this from the one Aten. Ptah did not create you mortal.
- The split Native/Faction/Auxiliary recruiting system. This really added flavour and longevity to the campaign. How good these units look and unique they feel on the battle map is a central factor in immersion and longevity.
- Pure style. I think part of what really hurt Pharaoh at launch was it seemed stylistically so similar to Troy. Not that Troy had a bad style the map designs are beautiful, but fans want to feel each game is unique. Shogun 2 is a great example of a game that nails consistency with all of its stylistic elements.
- Outposts are a great addition. I feel there was a missed opportunity here though, as the whole fun in placing forts/towers in older games was to read the geography to create strategic chokepoints on your defensive borders. Pharaoh has such a beautiful campaign map, but the pre-assigned nature of the outposts removes this entirely and they begin to feel more like boxes you tick off for each region sadly.
- Lethality was a great addition as well. I would love to see this on a 0-100% sliding scale in the future so players could balance the game to their exact missile destroying desires.

I was so sad initially to see the TW title I had been waiting 20 years for decided to go for a more arcade-like and less immersive approach at launch, but as always the Sofia team were stoic and stalwart in producing a truly enjoyable final product. I look forward to seeing what plans CA has in store for a Empire 2 or Medieval 3 that could really reignite passion for this series.
