Firstly, the Dev team wants to extend a truly heartfelt thanks to all the players who have given Scrap Daddies a try, joined our Discord, or shared their funny moments on Twitch or social media! We are so glad to see everyone enjoying Scrap Daddies! And we are stoked to be able to release another exciting content update!

NEW FEATURES 

• Added hooks so we can have better analytics / metrics. This information will help us balance the difficulty, decide what new features to add, etc.  

• Added Ambient Occlusion. Ambient Occlusion (AO) is a 3D rendering technique that simulates soft, global illumination of shadows in corners, creases, and crevices, improving depth and grounding objects. (tl;dr: This change makes everything look nicer!)  

• We added one additional Power Cell room. Be sure to look out for it in raids! 

• We added some more information to the Raid Selection screen so players can see their existing currency, a range of how many power cells are in each raid, and how many rooms are in each raid. We hope this will help players make more informed decisions on the level of perceived difficulty in each raid. 

BALANCING CHANGES  

• We cleaned up some of the environment in New Tortuga and in raids. 

• We made some improvements in regard to enemy behaviour for Ambush and Melee slimes. 

• The Design team balanced some of the existing rooms. 

• We modified the behaviour of loot containers so that instead of opening a secondary inventory window with drag-and-drop functionality, when you open a loot container, the contents of the crate will spill onto the floor to be picked up. 

• We added a new sound effect and messaging so that when you pick up a weapon or tool, you will see a notification. We noticed some players were spamming “E” to pick up items when scrapping, resulting in some players not realizing they picked up an additional weapon or tool.  

BUG FIXES 

• We fixed several environmental bugs pertaining to clipping, collisions, etc.  

• We fixed an issue where the game may become unresponsive and crash after reaching the Raid Over screen. 

• We fixed some issues where enemies were not spawning where they were supposed to. This includes having the tentacle spawn away from its base. 

• We fixed several issues where players could become stuck in various places after being ragdolled or kicked. 

• We fixed an issue where players who did not have their Sprayer upgraded could sometimes still clear enemy spills.  

• We fixed an issue where testing your mic would not disconnect from the test voice channel, resulting in the player not being connected to the in-game voice channel (and thus not being able to speak / be heard in-game). 

• We fixed a UI issue where some players with very long usernames had their names cutoff or overlap existing UI / text.  

• We fixed an issue where the Lore / Backstory section of the Codex would spill off-screen when being viewed in some languages.  

• We fixed an issue where some items were not “glowing” when dropped.
